Now I know Bill has money coming in but her income has grown exponentially while being employed by the American people.

How do you feel about this?

I don't like it with him and less with Hillary and its actually old news. Cheny was part of the reason that Halliburton was able to push through engineered foods and seeds not to mention The company was given $39.5 billion in Iraq-related contracts over the past decade, with many of the deals given without any bidding from competing firms, such as a $568-million contract renewal in 2010 to provide housing, meals, water and bathroom services to soldiers, a deal that led to a Justice Department lawsuit over alleged kickbacks, as reported by Bloomberg. Or Congress having not to pay for health care or able to do insider trading just to name a few of the corrupt practices I see that I personally want stopped that I dont believe a long time politician can change. Another reason to vote Trump.

Robert,

I agree with you on everything here, except the last sentence. I feel that Trump is absolutely the worst person that could ever be running for POTUS.

I shudder to think of the damage he would do. All the Trump fans, and those that will hold their nose when they pull that lever, take Clinton out of the mix for a second and be honest with yourself. Do you really want him as Top Dog? Is your hate, for whatever reason, for Clinton that strong that you would give him the keys? We'll see Nov 8, where we're headed. I pray (and I'm not the praying sort) that Trump is humiliated at the polls, that people will have second thoughts about him, maybe not even bother to show up. He's bad news. Short of a miracle. Clinton will be President. Not my first choice, but it's not even a contest when you throw the Trumpster in the mix.

So let's have it. Start the teeth gnashing vitriol that will stretch for comment after comment, running several pages. Go ahead and push this thread to the top, and send the bike threads to page two.

after digesting the debate last night I've come to a couple conclusions.

first as for DT not having a plan posted on his website to fight ISIS as HC says she does, while I do believe diplomacy in some fashion whether as part of a multi-national group or alone should be first and foremost, there is a reason why football teams don't exchange playbooks before each game.

As for his bankruptcy issue, DT himself has never claimed it. Entities within the TRUMP organization have. Living in NJ we have first hand experience with this because the casino he built in Atlantic City was one of them. I don't recall the entire TRUMP organization ever declaring bankruptcy, but I could be wrong.

Finally as for him not going on the "attack" last night, even though it is a Presidential debate, HC has the proverbial upper hand being a woman. With DT's media history of "attacking women" the last thing he needed was to come off as demeaning or attacking/confrontational. Perspective to the audience means everything.

He allowed HC to get her jabs in, he took a few shots on the chin and responded in a strong but restrained manner. Almost gentlemanly. One thing over the years I've learned in arguing with females is it's tough to defend ones own belief on an issue and as that "debate" escalates to keep a mild mannered tone without appearing as a man attacking a woman.

I know HC has been at this for decades, but we the public never see what happens behind closed doors during political meetings and how she is or is not verbally bantered with. I'm sure she has a thick skin, probably as thick as an alligator, but in a publicly televised event she is still a woman and women (like HC) are seen (in the public's eye) as demure and gentle...except Rosie O'Donnell.

I feel really sorry for my southern friends for this election.

Having to choose between Trump or Clinton is like someone asking you if you want to be kicked in the right testicle or the left one.  :'(

If you knew me you would understand that I consider a wrong a wrong no matter who does it. But at present we are talking about the elections and not all the wrongs that member's of congress, the president and all the associated crooks wrongs. So if you didn't get the drift of my last post Cheney should go to jail like Hillary should.

See we can agree on something,  Wink
I think we both agree that its the lesser of 2 evils in our minds, we just have a difference of who that is. I find it a shame that we have to think who would do the least damage.

I probably watched the first 20 min. of the debate. I go to work fairly early so have an early bedtime.

I pretty much knew Mr. Trump was in for a long night with the moderator with the first question.

Mr. Holt: We’re calling this opening segment “Achieving Prosperity.” And central to that is jobs. There are two economic realities in America today. There’s been a record six straight years of job growth, and new census numbers show incomes have increased at a record rate after years of stagnation. However, income inequality remains significant, and nearly half of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

C’mon, really? First of all we are going to preface the question with leading bogus statements, (I know, straight from Government statistics. They never fudge’em.) claim all is good, then in the same question go to “income inequality” and half the people (probably the deplorable ones) living paycheck to paycheck.

Maybe the “income inequality” and nearly half of Americans living “paycheck to paycheck” means the data for job growth and record increases for incomes is bogus.

Wished Mr. Trump would have pushed back hard on the initial premise of the first question.
But from most of the reviews, he held his own.

Mrs. Clinton looked and sounded good for the 20 min. I was watching. Don’t know how she fared at the end. Various reviews give her high marks. Her fashion sense is pathetic though. For that alone she should be banned from holding any public office. Wouldn’t vote for her anyways. The constant sleight of hand in nearly everything she does is just maddening.

Looking forward to the next one.

I've been waiting to see if anyone else would comment on two things HC brought up last night.

First was her position on creating jobs but intends to close down private correction facilities which would mean "firing" people from the private sector and hiring people that will directly work for the government, putting more people directly on the government payroll.

Also her intention to "retrain" our law enforcement personnel. This is a politician that had input with our military and we have seen the retraining they have received. Our police do not need retraining, people need to learn respect for the law and the police represent the law.

All the talking head pundits, those educated idiots ( new term put out in a penned article today by Newt Gigrich ) seemed to think she won. They have been wrong about Trump all year.  They are so out of touch with average America and wrapped up in the beltway martini club making big money.   American people are not buying it.  In darn near every snap poll Trump won, some by wide margins including several left wing publications.  Of course CNN ( the Clinton News Network ) polled 500 of their people and she won big.  Everywhere else she lost including cities of Cincinnati, San Diego, and Nashville.   These combined polls were to over 3 million people.

I did not watch the debate as I new it would be fixed and it was as Holt was a shill for Clinton playing the Candy Crowley card, and my blood pressure can only take so much. No questions were asked of Bengasi, Play for pay, Emails and all the other scandals - how nice for her.  I wonder who arranged that.  I do not have the ability as Elvis did to shoot the TV and send an aid out for a new one the same night.   In twitter today Trump is garnering over 70 percent of the attention.  Sure Clinton may have given those rehearsed lines she has worked weeks on and memorized them and she has that politician angle covered.   However the Trumpster goes about it like a layman and not a politician and just tells it like it is.  He has become more measured in the past six weeks and this may be why he is on top again.  This guy would be a genuine leader I think Jersey Mike hit pretty close to home on his assessment.

I think if enough voters get out and vote,  Trump has a slim chance.  I think more iffy or non-voters would support trump over clinton.  clinton is in the lead just barely, but gotta get the non voters out and vote and then trump might have a shot.

Like the current train wreck we've seen for the last 8 years?

What happened to the "shovel ready" projects to rebuild our infrastructure and the taking of a scaple to the budget line by line to cut waste in government as well as the transparency we were promised?

Race relations are abysmal, the worst I've ever seen in my (51yrs) life.

All the talk of taxing the rich even more but no word on reducing the size and cost of huge government.

Of course the nation needs more money, they pee it away on so much crap. Government cannot sustain itself on its own, the larger it grows the more money it takes and though its employees pay taxes, it's the working people that mst shoulder the weight.  It's the working class that provides goods and services generating economic growth for business that shoulder the responsibility to keep government employees working.

HC claims they're are wealthy people she knows which would pay more in taxes if it was necessary, I've never met a single person who said they would gladly pay more tax and I've had the pleasure of meeting, speaking to, and getting to know some very wealthy people over the years.

Maybe someone should set up a GoFundMe page to bail out the USA and raise the $Trillions needed to cover the national debt, then all the rich HC knows can make secondary contributions. Let them put their money where their mouths are.

Is your hate, for whatever reason, for Clinton that strong that you would give him the keys? We'll see Nov 8, where we're headed.

Realizing this wasn't addressed to me but, I simply had to respond.

The answer is a resounding yes.   The sad part is, I don't like him all that much but, he's head and shoulder better than Clinton.   She should be in jail.

Obviously, we have different visions as to where this country should be headed.

The question should be what does anyone see in her to be POTUS?

It certainly can't be honesty, integrity or moral ethics.

HC is a criminal pure and simple, the idiot in the whitehouse currently isn't about to let anybody lock up the DEMS only candidate besides the fact the DNC promised the nomination to her back in 2008 when they dumped her for the idiot.  Trump doesn't make every business decision that affects his companies, his lawyers do and their obligated to represent their clients in the most advantageous manner allowed under the law.  As long as Trumps people didn't violate any laws in the course of business then he's clean, as for his taxes so what, all stupid rich people have the money and people to minimize or eliminate their tax obligation.  If I was stupid rich I'd be next in line to minimize paying taxes to all the stupid people in DC to squander.

Now video has come out that she may have had a small box and ear piece on during the debate and may have been told what to say. I hope this is true and she digs her own grave, I'll gladly kick her off the edge into it.

Wonder who would have told her what to say and lead her through a successful debate?   Roll Eyes  Bill...Jesse Jackson, I saw him. Maybe she had a direct connection to the white house. .. cooldude

Really.  I have not seen this yet, however there was a pic taken of what appeared to be one a couple of weeks ago when she did the interview with Matt Lauer for which the left are still hazing him on.  How dare him ask her pertinent questions about her moral and ethical behavior while in a tremendously high position for this country.  By the way this set up a week of the whole party elders and their drive by media buddies making outrageous inuendos and blanket statements to ole Lester that he better do things differently to Trump and fact check this guy.  He better instead of acting as a question moderator insert himself into the foray.  Lester being the good leftist trooper followed orders and interrupted Trump 41 times to only 7 for Mrs C and came up with questions not pertaining to the election in any way shape or form but gave her a pass.

The pic which was displayed on this site by a member I believe could be an earpiece for which actors use to get voice signals.  Would this wig wearing  Ahlinskite do such a dastardly thing as that?

How dare you ask a question about her honesty and integrity!  As for Lester, he's a putz. As for Matt Lauer and the rest of the today crew. It's very easy to see where they lean.

I especially liked the part when the Trumpster admitted that he pays zero income tax, and claimed "because I'm smart"... Also that he "takes advantage of the laws and declared bankruptcy", how many times? How can you declare bankruptcy when you're a gazillionaire?

Good times.

Do you claim personal exemptions?  Do you claim charitable contributions, etc?  Of course you do, if you are eligible.  Why is it WRONG to follow the law?  Unlike what Hillary did with the emails and personal server, and a host of other things.

That is not even close to being the same thing. And I hope you know it. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were grasping at straws,,,,,,

And my claiming my mortgage interest doesn't stiff thousands of hard working people out of money they're owed. Just another favorite tactic of this 'candidate'.

Hmmmm. Could it be that Trumpster continued to act like an eight year old and needed to be scolded as such, where HC did not? Hmmmmmm...

Actually it is exactly the same thing.  For whatever reasons the lawmakers have decided that certain uses of one's income are either sufficiently beneficial to the welfare of the nation or for some other reason are exempt from being taxed.  We tend to refer to the provisions for which we are eligible as "exemptions" while we refer to those for which we are not eligible as "loopholes".  Actually, claiming our mortgage interest does in fact deny money to the government that may have been used to hire more hard working government employed stiffs.

It amazes me over and over how certain folks are capable of saying things that are absolutely not true and pretending that everyone knows that they are.  Hillary is one of those people but I believe she is smart enough to know she is doing it.  Some of her followers not so much.
