Troy was a hard working man until he had a heart attack. Lost almost 70% of his heart muscle.
He was a heat and air conditioning man with no  insurance.  At 58 to young for Medicaid  they sent him home to die. We sent Letters and made phone calls to Congressmen, state agency's and charities but no one would help.

They said he was near the end several times. Three times they said he had less than two days to live. But he is here. Now he has Medicaid and they implanted a pump in his heart to keep him alive but said the longest anyone has lived on the pump is 7 years.

He has missed a couple of hearts due to health issues or size of the heart  or somebody was higher on the list and in more need than troy the few times they have come available.

Sometime today or tomorrow a man will die  Cry but he will help others live and see.

Troy is my Father in Law and could use a prayer or two to help him get his heart

*********update he is in surgery now they started about 6am and will take all day

****heart is in and beating on its own

OSS,  I've never been ashamed to ask for a prayer. I'm a private person and it's hard for me to let out parts of my life to other people. I just feel at home here enough to open up here and ask.

Know that however this works out, he will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I can only hope that when my time approaches, someone  will care as much as his family obviously does.   He is obviously a special person.

Prayers, for all of you. Which ever way this goes, keep us posted please.

We all understand what was said, about one to die for others to live, waiting for a transplant. We are all MC riders. I've had my Dr Specialist ask me to stop riding. But it is the only actual active vis I have.

Thanks for the update, hoping all goes well...

As a member of a donor family, know the family the heart came from gets some small relief in their time of grief knowing their loss is helping others. It really does help. A little...

The hard thing to deal with is The two men who gave to save another. One man gave the heart another had the heart and his body rejected it. Now it beats in Troy.
