1500 to 1800 engine swap

Has anyone successfully installed 1800 on GL1500?

Not an easy swap by any stretch of the imagination. There is one in progress in the 1500 Tech board.

I haven't done it but if your thinking to a Valk your first obstacle will be the Valks gravity feed fuel supply to the 1800s fuel pump supplying Injectors. Some one put the single sided 1800 swing arm on a Valk mated to the 1500 motor on a Valk. I would not want to deal with all the relays and sensors on an 1800.

Just buy a partially wrecked 1800 Wing or F6B and strip it down, lower it, etc., make your own 1800 Valk. Been a couple riders have done it, looks pretty neat actually.
