Unless you sold or divested, you didn't actually lose anything, the value of your stocks may have dropped but, you still own them and only lose when you sell.   

But, I'm thinking you already knew that.

I advised a couple of friends a couple of weeks ago to get out of the stock market and buy gold and silver.   Both are very happy right now.   The question of when to get back into the market is one I could not advise to do at this point.
Then again, I could have been a zillionaire had my foresight been as good as my hindsight.
