Met her on line here. love at first sight. Had to have her. She was out of state but that was not stopping me. She lived in Austin, Tx. A week later I was in Austin nervous as a school boy going for his first kiss. She was even prettier in person. She has a little wild side to her with that car tire. That was a first for me. I loved the curves she has with that Interstate tank and the lowrider seat it was like she was made for me. Oh and that rear end drives me nuts  :D ;D
I planned 3 days to get back to Tampa,Fl.  First day about 500. Driving through Houston was a real pain. Only been on her a couple hours now I'm on a busy 12 lane Hwy with grooved pavement. It was throwing me left n right the whole time.
Next day I got caught in the rain bands of Hurricane Hanna several times. I have been in rain before but noting like that. Scary downpours with nowhere to turn off. Visibility maybe 15-20 feet. Talked to Farside (Keith) super nice guy offered me to stay at his place for the night but I kept pressing on. He did give me some good advice on my route.
So far its been mostly I-10 the whole way. Finally get off that and headed toward Panama City and US 98. That was a great ride on my last day cruising along the Gulfs beaches. Got home Saturday afternoon wife waiting with a big hug and a cold beer! Yum! too both.  ;D Sheila really likes the new bike over the Interstate that I had.
She did come with a Chrome Hitchdoc hitch that I am selling. A chrome rear rack, Ultimate armrest n that big bag that's in the pics which I'm keeping. I did give her some of my own bling Rattlebars grille,Chrome fork & caliper covers and Rivco turn signal mirrors.
I better wrap this story up this is almost as long as a DDT post  ;D

Someone did a beautiful job painting and reconfiguring the rear fender.  :cooldude:

Jess from VA

What a nice bike.   :cooldude:  Nice score.

Those slash cut tips were going to drag on every apron departure. You'll still need to be careful with pipes past the bags.

Also, beware when working low on the bike, when you come up under one of those pointy (Kuryakyn) grip tips, they leave a nice groove in your head.

Wow Vance she's gorgeous.  :o    One of a kind !  :cooldude:

I specifically remembered this bike because my first post on these forums was about your new ride... before it was your new ride. Color me jealous.

She is Purdy up close. Thought I was reading the Penthouse Forum for a few lines there  :2funny:
No doubt she is all that and more. It is great how customizable these Rides are, and we have some of the best representation right here in FL.  :cooldude:

GRCTAMPA

Congrats, what a great looking ride!

Pappy!

Wow!!! That is a super sharp bike! Well done on your part.

I remember this scenario myself as well.
My bike came from around 70 miles South of Austin!
I flew out on December 11th 2012 I believe and the owner picked me up from the airport and treated me to a great Tex/Mex meal at their favorite restaurant. Next morning around 6AM I swung a leg over my gal. A cold front had moved in so my trip started in rain and wind (also first time on a car tire) and heading back up to Austin Then turned and on the way through Houston traffic with those same grooved roads.
Worst traffic by far was on the by pass around New Orleans.
Was also being chased by by that Hell of a cold front and heavy rain and wind. Made it around 600 miles and into Alabama that night. Next morning around the crack of Dawn I got up to the rain and wind, swung a leg over and made it home by the middle of the afternoon after another 500 miles or so.
The love affair is still just as strong today as it was back then.
Enjoy!

Well that is truly a beautiful bike. Congrats on your new ride. :cooldude:

Thank you everyone for the kind words.
The pics don't do the paint justice. Metalflake in both colors really pop in the sunlight. Its not a Black it's more of a Dark Rootbeer with copper metalflake

Yep  ;D , It was slow at work and I thought I would spice up the story a lil bit>

Kevin is the new owner of my Red/Black Interstate. Super nice guy that lives local in the Brandon area. He joined the FB Valk riders of Florida. I have told him about the VRCC. I'm sure he will be joining us.
