Tracy we remember the good times.  My wife Iris and I met you and Don at a Chinese buffet on I-77 when we were staying in Hillsville Va. many years ago.  We rode South toward Mt. Airy and stopped at a greenhouse where you wanted to make a purchase of some sort.  I couldn't keep up with either of you.  So sorry for your loss.

Yes I do... I  lost the  photos  in Photobucket ,as  they deleted  my acct.
IICRC  you had  a Silver n green , like  mine...
     Most likely honey was what I  bought  or fruit...

I'm doing my best . To stay ahead of the  demons .
Life  has  been hard to say the  least.
Coming  in to winter.. Still cutting and  working on firewood..
I  had  a  few mates come  down Sat. and  help me  a  bit .
Kinda got rained/drizzled out..
They helped me  in the  shop, so I can get e in for  winter.
Lets face  it there is  stuff I  just can't move alone!


Stuff keeps  breaking down . My woodstove internal fan broke  the  other day.
It's like ; Great something  else  I  need to fix.
   Oh well it is  what it is.. And  I'll trudge on. The  best I can.
Sure  do need a  lot more rain.. The Spring is so low.

It will now be  a  Month since  Don has  crossed over.
And  it's  time  to have  a toast to a life  well lived !

He had  a  wonderful life that was full and  rich with adventure and  love lots of love.
His  next big adventure . Till he  and  I  meet once  again ,as  we always  have.



Alcohol or  not  a toast is just a drink just held up high !

We had this tiny bottle of Blantons from when we went to the KY horse park many years ago 2002 !
I just opened it and had to strain it, as the cork was all busted up.LOL
I have it breathing right now , it's just a shot glass full ,that's how small the bottle is !

Yes...healing takes time, more for some folks than others. I lost Rita 4.5 years ago and at times it still tugs at the heart strings. Thankfully Nancy understands, having lost her husband a few years before, so she consoles me at the time. Having lost a daughter in 2006 & 2012, that still gets to me...still often hits hard after all these years. My condolences to both of you, especially because I knew both partners.

Don  ; Loved  Thanksgiving..  Food , Feast , Football...
   
I'll have  a  very very small feast, Just me  and the  cat..
I don't eat turkey , so I'll do all the other  trimmings on a  smaller  scale.
And  that reminds  me  I  guess I  better get cracking !
On  a few  things ..

I  had a  good friend stay for 5 days helping me  out on the  farm ,
so now  that company is  gone , HeroBud (cat)  will start coming back into the  house.
Being feral he  hates company, doesn't like  change..
I will be  very happy to have  him snuggle  with me  again...

I'm not here much anymore, sorry for the delayed response and even sorrier to hear of the loss of Don. Lots of great InZane memories with both of you. Praying for comfort and peace for you. It was always apparent how you both complimented each other and seemed to be a perfect match. I always enjoyed chatting and riding with you both. Again, my sincere condolences.
