InZane 13 is our quest...
should it be East or West
of that Ole' Miss River?
Both? Can we deliver?

Don't care where it's held,
From LA to Penn station.
I just need the dates,
So I can schedule my vacation.

Hmmm....sounds like there might be a chance to attend two rallies again. At least that's what I'm reading into the "riddle."  It would be somewhat like the year InZane was held out west and there was also the DOTS rally in Johnson City, TN. Seems like that was six years ago because I got the "old fart" award that year at DOTS and I was only 68 at the time. Come to think of it, I attended both. 'Twas a good year!   :cooldude:

Just one InZane... of course there are lots of local rallies all year long.

The Mississippi River runs through or along 10 states, from Minnesota to Louisiana, and was used to define portions of these states' borders, with Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi along the east side of the river, and Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas along its west side.

Substantial parts of both Minnesota and Louisiana are on either side of the river, although the Mississippi defines part of the boundary of each of these states.

It makes sense to me that somewhere toward the middle of the country works for more people. Better attendance! Somewhere a little cooler than way south also makes sense. Somewhere there is good scenery and fun roads. Somewhere we can find logging for a lot of people.

Minneapolis is one of the best ideas I've heard yet. Possibly Colorado again..........

So... Anyone know of any hotels/resort type places on an island in the middle of the Mississippi?

A Black Hills destination would be just fine with me.
Rushmore, Devil's Tower and more to see.
The Rockies of Colorado are also quite amazing.
Scenic views and mountain roads are also wonderful for gazing.

A cooler destination is preferable please!

Maybe it's in Savanna, IL. I love to ride around that area with its bluffs overlooking the Mississippi. Plus that's practically my back yard and a great excuse not to miss my first Inzane...

Have one East, one West. One late spring, one in the fall. Each meet will have more attendees than one collective meet in the heat anywhere in the country. Some that have the time & means will attend both. I think with two regional meets, the club will grow against all odds for the following of an "out of date cruiser".
Truth is, the faithful following of this machine and it's owners is phenomenal. Quality and sturdiness (machine & owners).

All I can add to this is that if the predicted forecast is in or near triple digit temperatures....Y'all knock yourself out I'm going to pass....InZane this year was miserable just like Kentucky was as well it was like ridin' in a furance. I don't have a dog in this race and hope to make a " Out West " couple of weeks on the road ride if that happens I won't be making InZane no matter the location.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

So... ground zero on an island IN the Mississippi river.

That should narrow it down.

How about Moab,UT Lots of places to stay and some of the most outrageous landscape you will ever ride through. Arches National park, Dead Horse Point State park, Canyonlands Park, Goblin Valley, Natural Bridges National Park, and for a (long) side trip Monument Valley via Rt.261 and the Moki Dugway.
I have driven through this area on my Valk for 4years in a row in the  middle to late August, temp about 90s with low humidity and high elevation and never hit any rain.
Needless to say It's one of my favorite places to ride.
