Started out loading trucks. Went to a production machine shop and started to learn tool and die and got my draft notice and joined Uncle Sugars Canoe Club.  :2funny: Out of the Navy went back to tool and die and decided to start driving truck. Couple of life glitches 2 marriages 2 divorces retired in Feb 2010. My youngest is currently a senior in high school and off to college next year. So then it will be down to me the Phatt Ghurl and some old gal what don't want the world.  :cooldude:  Did i mention i'll have more time for the Valkyrie??!!  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.
Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

Biomedical Equipment Technician  - I fix broke stuff. It just happens to be patient care broke stuff.  I inspect and repair medical equipment for a small hospital in NW Missouri.  Best part is the boss is 4 hours away.  I like my boss, but I like being independent more.

My condolences.  SO sorry for your loss.

Metallurgical engineer by education, worked as melting dept. supervisor and general foreman in a large iron foundry making cylinder blocks and heads.  Then moved into engineering end of it.  Currently a calibrator of truck engines for one of the big three.
30 years in in May of '13.

man that has got to be at least the 2nd worst hurt there is,,losing a kid would be #1,,i cannot imagine the feeling you must be going through right now,, i have a sister in law that just lost her hubby and its tearing her up,, but she is getting better as i know you will too,, prayers are forth coming from Bev and me here in TN....

sorry to hear that. my wife currently undergoing testing for early dementia. memory is going. she's on fmla for a few months. been coming on for a year or so now.

hope i don't lose her to that.
both my mother and her mother went that way.

So sorry to hear. Hopefully you have some friends and family around to talk to. If not, I highly reccomend a "rent a friend" AKA therapist. You may need some help getting through this.

Semi retired from Information Technology after many years as I.T. Director and CIO positions.  I now do custom fabrications and welding in mostly oilfield related projects.   Less stress, and I only work when I really want or need to.  I grew up in a fab shop, so I returned to what I knew in my home town.

Occasionally I will still consult a bit for technology related projects.  I usually turn them down though.

I ride when I can, and set my own hours..life is not bad!!!!

26 years as a Teamster with the US Goverment mostly pulling heavy-haul trailers with some Nuclear power plant hauling. I have every endorsement available on my CDL along with a explosive handlers license.....I was really looking forward to retire at 54 in 2014 however with each passing day that does'nt look too " doable "  :(

I'm the Deputy District Attorney in the county where I live...which means I prosecute criminals and send them to the big house.  Lots of job security with the bad economy and the epidemic of drug abuse.  Don't have much, if any, time to ride and still have a good 15 years before I can retire.  They say that that doesn't kill you makes you stronger...I sure hope so!
