The Dem/Lib/Prog view was Bush's policies made the stock market drop. And the Repubs put Wall St before Main St.

What are Obama's policies that have MADE the stock market rise?

Oss

Of course

why did I not see

RAISE the debt limit

Print money we really dont have

Put more people out of work

Kill a few thousand more in stupid wars that benefit nobody for people who would as soon kill us as shake our hands

Give a few hundred million to terrorist groups

abandon our embassy staff and marines in foreign countries

and the stock market will go up and the savior gets the credit

yeah right

But what do I know anyways I am just a humble country lawyer from the Bronx

I read a bit of the article.  Seemed like the kind of balanced unbiased reporting that someone could trust.  Unfortunately, I'm not that someone.

Incidentally, when attacking the right, some should keep in mind that not all of us believe that Obama is intentionally trying to destroy America.  I believe sincerely that he is doing his best to make America what he thinks it should be.  That said, I also am certain that what he thinks America should be and what we think America should be are miles and miles apart.

The surge in the stock market is temporary.  I'd love to be wrong.

i've said it before, and I will say it again. Willow, you are a smart, smart man, although I do believe that Mr. Obama's world view requires that These United States become something besides the last best hope of mankind.

Wayne I am kind of surprised at you. I thought you pretty sharp but when I see you fall for a come on article in the Huffington post about the debt going down I thought you would have a good enough memory to remember the tax hikes that Obama already put in place. These are some of the ones that are already on the books and in 2013 there are a whole lot more coming. Now there are a few choices here either you lost your mind momentarily, you think we are stupid or just so blinded by Obama and liberalism that you would believe anything.
http://jeffduncan.house.gov/full-list-obamacare-tax-hikes

WASHINGTON, DC -- Obamacare contains 20 new or higher taxes on American families and small businesses. Arranged by their respective sizes according to CBO scores, below is the total list of all $500 billion-plus in tax hikes (over the next ten years) in Obamacare, their effective dates, and where to find them in the bill.

$123 Billion: Surtax on Investment Income (Takes effect Jan. 2013): A new, 3.8 percent surtax on investment income earned in households making at least $250,000 ($200,000 single). This would result in the following top tax rates on investment income:

$4.5 Billion: Codification of the "economic substance doctrine" (Took effect in 2010): This provision allows the IRS to disallow completely-legal tax deductions and other legal tax-minimizing plans just because the IRS deems that the action lacks "substance" and is merely intended to reduce taxes owed. Bill: Reconciliation Act; Page: 108-113

$23.6 Billion: "Black liquor" tax hike (Took effect in 2010) This is a tax increase on a type of bio-fuel. Bill: Reconciliation Act; Page: 105

$22.2 Billion: Tax on Innovator Drug Companies (Took effect in 2010): $2.3 billion annual tax on the industry imposed relative to share of sales made that year. Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,971-1,980

$1.4 Billion: HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike (Took effect Jan. 2011): Increases additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent. Bill: PPACA; Page:
1,959

$ Negligible: Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals (Took effect in 2010): $50,000 per hospital if they fail to meet new "community health assessment needs," "financial assistance," and "billing and collection" rules set by HHS. Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,961-1,971

Tax on Indoor Tanning Services ($2.7 billion/July 1, 2010): New 10 percent excise tax on Americans using indoor tanning salons. Bill: PPACA; Page: 2,397-2,399

Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tax Hike ($0.4 bil/Jan 2010): The special tax deduction in current law for Blue Cross/Blue Shield companies would only be allowed if 85 percent or more of premium revenues are spent on clinical services. Bill: PPACA; Page: 2,004

7. Medicine Cabinet Tax ($5 bil/Jan 2011): Americans no longer able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin). Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,957-1,959

9. Employer Reporting of Insurance on W-2 (Min$/Jan 2012): Preamble to taxing health benefits on individual tax returns. Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,957

The biggest missing tax hike from the tax section is the "Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee," better known as the bank tax. OMB put this tax in the Treasury Department's section of the table. This tax hike adds another $61 billion to the President's tax hike total.President Obama's fiscal year 2013 budget proposal explicitly claims a $1.561 trillion tax hike over 10 years, as reported by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB). This is a vast understatement, because that figure fails to account for all of the President's tax increases and improperly claims credit for reducing tax receipts from tax cuts that are not new policies.

Its not only from magical upswing in revenues and a better economy. Its the start of the health care reform for most of the increase in taxes. These points do not include the stats on inflation cutting buying power and although most earn more are taxed higher actually earn less than their fathers with lower pay, yet being taxed at higher rates. There are plenty of hidden ways also the revenue has gone up by increased government fees on services that are not reported as taxes yet have the same effect. The governments money comes from one place, the people, if there is a drawing down of debt with the giving away of 2 trillion dollars it only means we have to find the creative accounting.

Ya, well, hopefully you that adore this "president" so much will get a chance to visit him often if justice is done.  Prisons almost always allow some visitation.  Unless its Gitmo.......we would have to prove hes up to the level of a domestic terrorist (which I dont think is a far reach)

"You might think that the I.R.S. is owned by our government.  A branch that collects taxes from the citizens in order to fund our government.  If you think that, you would be wrong.

The I.R.S. is owned by entities outside our country,  and by its operation is a collection agency for the Federal Reserve.  As you may know, the Federal Reserve is not a governmental agency, but it is a private bank [i.e. Rothschilds, Warburgs etc.  ] that lends our government money.  Our tax money is collected by the I.R.S. and sent directly to the Federal Reserve banking system.

Our government is financed much in the same way as you might finance your home.  The politicians spend so much money that there is no way that the taxes collected would be enough to pay for all their activities.  So, they borrow money from the banking cartels, and they tell the banking cartels that they can go get the money from the citizens.

When the author says "the government is the enforcement division," he is really referring to the "Department of Homeland Security." The central bankers know they have to establish a fascist state in order to ensure their "debt" gets paid. They are behind 9-11 and the whole "war on terror" ruse which are pretexts to establish a police state.

We the people, our labors, our person, is then owned by the banking cartels just as your home us actually owned by the mortgage company.  Don't pay your mortgage payment and you'll quickly see who really owns your home.

Don't pay your taxes and the I.R.S. has the "right" to garnish your wages and freeze your accounts.  That is because our government sold us to the banking cartels as collateral many years ago.  We are property used as collateral for the loans that our politicians take out against us.  We are slaves - literally.

When you see how things actually operate, you can begin to see how these enterprises operate much like organized crime.  The government is the enforcement division, the I.R.S. is the collection division, and the big banks are for money laundering.

Unfortunately all of the money collected goes only to interest payments against the HUGE debt (loans) that our politicians have taken out against us.  They keep spending and we keep paying.  Illegal as it is, they have the bigger guns.

Illegal scams like our government have come and gone throughout the ages.  Just before we won our independence from Great Britain, we were subject that were required to pay exorbitant taxes to the monarchy.  We were not represented, and so "taxation without representation" was the phrase of the day.  That led to the Boston tea party, and the rest is history."

actually surges in the market are always temporary, economic bubbles will always pop and have always popped before. the left makes it sound like it's only happened since bush was in office, but there was a tulip bulb bubble that popped way back (memory is failing me) the 16th century?

How do these politicians keep spending more money than they take in?? And WHY do they keep getting reelected? Lord knows I have tried but if I get X$ in a given period I CAN NOT spend anymore than X. Oh wait-I know this one-it are called living within a BUDGET. And to most politicians you mention"budget"you get this glassy eyed stare and a long winded dissertation on why spending more is good for us.  :uglystupid2: Give any one of them a year they no do the job throw there sorry ass in jail and put the next one in. Sooner or later one of 2 things will happen-the jails will fill up-I have not got a clue what #2 is.  :2funny: RIDE SAFE.
