Obama's First Pitch - D'oh!!!

I watched that way back when and it was good to see it again. Some here will disagree, but, I don't care. The man is a class act from everything that I've seen or read. And yes I did vote for him, twice. And yes, I would so again today.
The idiot we have as our leader today will go down in history as the worst president  we have ever had.

dreamaker

I would take his Dad, he seems to know what is going on and knows when to pull out.

MAD6Gun

I too voted for him both times and would have a third if I could have. Was he a perfect President. NO. But he was sure as HE!! a whole lot better then what we have today. Right or wrong GW stuck with his decisions. Obama cant ever make up his mind. He flip flops more than IHOP.  I am sure he would have bombed Syria even without Congress approval. (he still might). The liberal keep forgetting that Bush HAD congresses approval BEFORE going to war. Oh and would have Congress started Impeachment proceeding against Obama like Biden suggested doing to Bush. I don't think so......

I'd take this over who we've got now:

Six or one half-dozen really.

Actually that's not true. Obama is quite intelligent but in his case that's part of the problem. Sometimes relying too much on intellect can lead to over-thinking things when it would be more prudent to invoke Occam's razor. Bush is just flat-out dumb. Like as in slow adult dumb. In many cultures he'd have been sent off on an iceberg to perish or drowned at birth or something.
Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

I'll agree with your first sentence... Obama is evil, but he's not dumb. That's why I'd prefer a box of rocks. A box of rocks wouldn't be hell bent on un-doing the last 200+ years of what has made this country great.

I'm NO fan of Bush Jr's, and I think he should be sitting in prison in a cell next to Obama, but he's not dumb. He's country, about as country as someone who was born in Connecticut can be, but don't ever confuse being country with being dumb. just because someone is a pi$$ poor public speaker doesn't make them dumb. he has degrees from harvard and yale, I have no idea what in, but he had the pedigrees for president.

The thing I liked about him is that he didn't make himself out to be better than those around him, I believe he truly cared about the people that worked for him, and yes, he didn't hide details of his life/his mistakes from us.  I'd buy him a beer, he'd cook steaks for the SS guys that protected him.  I wouldn't micturate on Obama if he were on fire.

I know a LOT of pilots. Some of them are bright guys and some of them are real dipsticks. I mean frighteningly dumb. Flying takes less intelligence than you might think, it really does. And families can and have bought degrees.

Is it possible that I'm overstating his stupidity? Yeah I guess it is. Maybe it's just his plodding nature. You can see the wheels turning slowly in his head when he speaks, as though he's stuck in mud but will eventually get there. I don't think it's just "country" though. He's not a particularly sharp guy, there's just no two ways around that.

Nor is Obama "evil" any more than Bush is (though you could certainly call his willingness to send American troops to carry out his personal vendetta an evil act). I've actually met the man a couple of times before he was POTUS and while the slick politician definitely comes across, he's not evil. And before you call me gullible, I used to be paid a lot of money for my ability to assess people and their intentions and abilities with limited information and face time. I was paid a lot of money for this service because I'm very, very good at it. Better than anyone here I'll warrant.

No, Obama is what Bush II is in a lot of ways. Both are products of their upbringings who are unable to see the world beyond their own experiences. This is a crippling flaw for a President. This is a big country and what's good for Wyoming is not necessarily good for Massachusetts. But neither one is interested in finding the common ground while allowing for enough of the regional needs and desires to stay intact. They just try to force what they think is best down everyone's throats.

AGREED. The F-102 was a tricky, hi-speed landing, under-powered, over-instrumented beast of a fighter (unlike it's FINE follow-on, the F-106).

Not to mention the majority of pilots wash out in fighter pilot training before they even get to duty station with an active fighter wing.

And to get through those schools, getting  business degree(s).......while partying hard (as most all of us done at that age). says something about Dubya's true intellect too.

Dubya's only problems is he is very mildly dyslectic........and he has MORALS (which the Left hates), and he loves America (which the Left thinks is OH so un-cool).

And of course, Dubya's biggest slander against the Left......'STEALING' the 00' election. Never mind that the thought of Gore being Prez on 9/11 is scary enough to scare even the most witless Leftist more witless, if THAT is possible!! THANK GOD ALMIGHTY Dubya was Prez in those difficult years!!!

And does it not strike ya AWFUL funny that Leftist, on one hand call Dubya dumb.......but on the other hand, he is responsible for SO many manipulations, pulled off SO many dastardly plans and schemes, and even SO adeptly pulls the strings on todays events.........just to goof with Obuma? I don't believe those IQ numbers for a minute. The article even states they are at best only guesstimates. I would say very poor ones at that. I've read several other articles stating differently, much differently. Heck, even Mr Snopes himself has added ' hoax' to the address.
That said, I'm not a big believer in IQ numbers. Some folks just happen to be good test takers, others not so much so. After-al, wasn't Forest Gump's somewhere in the mid-80s ? Hmmm, he may have made a good president though.

I'm not going to say Obama is the antichrist but if he brokers a peace treaty in the middle east and later recovers from a fatal wound to the head I wont be surprised. This country didn't need a community organizer they needed a leader. The facts are that our current administration is failing miserably at leading and representing our nation. The whole George Bush was dumb crap is coming from some very uninformed people who simply never did like him, conservatives, or patriots. He was just the leader we needed during that time in our history. In time he will go down as one of our greatest presidents ever.

I forget when we had to take them while in school, either 10th or 11th grade. I think 10th though. They made me take again, thought I cheated. I had to retake it all by my lonesome with a teacher watching.  And, yep, like you, did better the second time around. ' They ' didn't want to believe my SAT scores either.

President Obama will go down as one of the greatest presidents in history.  I wouldn't be surprised if his likeness will be imprinted on our money one day.  Saving this country from the Great Recession?  Check.  Equal pay for women doing equal work?  Check.  Saving the US Auto industry?  Check.  Ending don't ask don't tell?  Check.  Making Supreme Court appointments that contributed to the ending of DOMA?  Check.  Creating Obamacare with patient rights?  Check.  Getting us out of 2 wars, and hopefully avoiding a third?  Check.

George W. Bush will go down as one of the worst presidents ever.  Taking a surplus and turning it into a deficit?  Check.  Ignoring intelligence briefings therefore allowing 9/11?  Check.  Using false data to convince America to enter a war we never should have started?  Check.  Leaving office with an annual budget deficit of over a trillion dollars a year?  Check.  Hemorrhaging jobs at a rate of over 800,000 a month?  Check.  Leave the economy in it's worst state since the Great Depression?  Check.

Tell me again about how intelligent President Bush was?
