Never watched the show, don't intend to start now, STRONGLY disagree with what he said, but I ALSO STRONGLY back his right to say it without getting fired, A&E can take a leap.

(And yeah, I understand that this isn't a 1st Amendment issue, as the government isn't the one punishing him for speaking his mind, it's still wrong, and it was wrong of MSNBC to do it to Alec Baldwin (Although it was wrong of MSNBC to give that nut job a place to blabber in the first place too...))

I, for one, am overjoyed that he stepped outside the realm of political correctness. There was no agenda there, no intent. Simply voicing a personal opinion. And it is laughable that A&E came out with their standard, "we support the LGBT community" and then the NAACP's reference to science. If he had omitted homosexuality from his comments and only mentioned promiscuity, adultery, bestiality, etc. no one would have taken notice. But, you mention homosexuality in critical terms and all of a sudden you're a pariah.

A few weeks ago the same program was under fire from the producers for invoking Jesus Christ in their prayers. Seems, just like homosexuals, you cannot say anything to offend Muslims either.

He dosen't care about that tv show, he proved that when they told him he couldn't pray at the end of each episode. He said then you wont have a show. I like them man.

Phil Robertson had the courage to say what the politically correct media world we live in wont.  He stated God's word, not his own opinion.  He will unfortunately pay a price for it, but HEY! he knew he would.  He did the right thing (as a Christian) He did the wrong thing as an entertainer concerned about his career.  Good on him

For me it was Coon and Rabbit hunting instead of Ducks although I do partake in a little Duck hunting from time to time. I unashamedly share many of his beliefs on religion, family and life itself including what he had to say in the GQ article.

The PC police can try and ram their philosophy down my throat and while I  tolerate they will never change my inner beliefs.

My opinion.  I think he is tired of all the fame and knew if spoke the truth he would get a little time off.  He will not get any privacy, because the show will still be filmed at his house and on his land.
I hope all of the other family members say the same thing so the show can move to another network.

I figure you can blame whomever leaked the interview.  GLAAD is all offended.  Seriously, how many of its members read GQ, watch Duck Dynasty, or use Duck Commander duck calls.  The gay community can boycott A&E if they want to, but the worst it will do to the Robertson clan is make them go back to earning a living making duck calls and hunting and fishing without the cameras. 

It may be the end of the program.  I only watch it when I visit my son, so I will survive.  He broke the only unforgivable rule in Hollyweird, he offended the gays.  Many TV careers have ended that way.  Time will tell if Duck Dynasty will be another one.
