dang it, having trouble. when I right click image I get this                                     http://s1154.beta.photobucket.com/user/JimmyG48/media/IMGP2473.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2
when I insert it between  the brackets, I still don't get the picture. I am using photobucket.  What am I doing wrong?

It looks like you have some extra stuff in there and have it enclosed in url commands.  I retrieved the url by right clicking the photo and selecting "Copy image location".

Select "quote" above to see the code between the img commands.

JimmyG

Thanks Willow, but I don't understand why I have the extra stuff.  I am a linux user and don't do windows anymore. Unfortunately, I am not computer savy enough to understand all I need to.

Willow

Jimmy, the method I use isn't the shortest or best, but it works for me.

While viewing the picture (full size) in Photobucket, I right click on the picture itself.

I'm using Firefox as a browser so from the menu I select "Copy Image Location"

When I'm using Internet Explorer I would right click the photo and select properties from the menu.  Once properties are displayed I would select the address by highlighting from "http" to "jpg" and use the Ctrl/C to copy it.

Once the location is copies, back at my post or reply box I select the image icon (It's leftmost in the line above the smileys).

Once the two bracketed img commands are displayed I place the cursor between them and use the Ctrl/V keys to paste the location.

The location should begin with http and end with jpg with those items occurring nowhere else in the location.

The more correct way to get the location from Photobucket, which I don't always use, is to select the picture then click on "IMG Code" wherever you find it and paste the result into your post.  Using this method includes the IMG commands relieving you of the need to click the img icon in your post.

I hope that helps some.

Thanks Willow, I will experiment.

PHOTOSTASH ISSUE

I've uploaded three pictures in the last two weeks.  All of them were named image.jpg in Photostash which means only the last one uploaded is there and the prior pictures are overlaid.  This really messes up the threads referencing the pictures.  This happens with posting from my iPhone, iPad or PC.  Photostash is of no further use to me.  I have moved to PhotoBucket but there threads messed up because of this.  When members use quote on a post that contains an image link, that post may point to the wrong image.  I can only repair my original post with an image link into PhotoBucket.

I assume others have encounterd this, but see on mention of this issue.  The post by Bodale above demonstrates it in the text.  We might have seen a picture if he had the braces in the proper place.

I can't get the photo stash site to let me login, even after I've registered! I can go in and edit my settings, but at the login page, it won't let me login to upload pics. Am I stupid or something?
