How many?  Three?  My cc charges were 49.60 for 2, and that included 1.30 Foreign Transaction Fee.

yes, 3 of 'em PAVALKER.
My bad, I used the Euro in the calculation, should have used the British pound.
All I ever hear any more of money in Europe is the Euro dollar, so that is what popped in my head.
So I guess the correct figure is about $64.72 plus a transaction fee.

My 6 were $119 tax tag title shipped to my door. Still $30 cheaper than buying 1 from any dealer in the US.

BudMan

My two came yesterday. They also look great and the total price was $47.88 on my credit card bill.
I think the price variance depends on when the point of sale is determined and the conversion factor/exchange rate in force at that moment.
I got a real bang out to the "Made in USA" on the Honda sticker on the package. I wish it was cast into the part on the outside! I took black paint and highlighted the Made In USA on the side of my engine block.)  :cooldude:

this is the old cover, been like this since I bought bike from P O. I don't know if this is caused by heat, or gas spilled. But in case it is heat related I'm trying to negate that possibility.

right in front of these holes on the cover is where the damage is concentrated and then radiate out from there.

here is a heat shield I made from a coke can, there is a air space behind the shield, holes aren't closed off.

this is the matting am putting on inside of cover, got it at Auto Zone

heat shield matting applied to backside of cover, has adhesive backing

new cover finished and re-installed, looks good!

Xtracho

Good idea on the heat barrier Ken. Again, very pleased that it appears everyone is satisfied with the covers and the price paid.

I'm pretty sure he assumed that because the well known distributors' prices were high that they were a "rip off" and that they're noticeably losing (notice one o) money to these French sales.  I'm glad our guys can get the parts cheaper.  I'm guessing either the cost is down overseas or they haven't adjusted their prices based upon U.S. demand.

Good work on identifying something that a lot of people want for a reduced price.   :cooldude:

Xtracho

I get lucky once in a while. These covers at David Silver Spares in the U.K. are $17 and change plus shipping. And now I get it!

It appears that everyone so far is pleased with the deal. Glad it worked out....guess the US vendors with their outrageous pricing will have a lot of left over stock on their shelves for a while!  ;D

Seeing the caption I didn't open it cause I thought you were looking for one  to play with. Stripping and rattle can painting or something else. Well, being benched for the rest of the riding season I finally opened the thread. Decided to order 4 of them once I realized what it was about. Just got the email confirmation that they are on the way. Only took three days for it. Now to see how long before they show up. Thanks for the post.

Reading it again I can see where that could be construed as the topic of the thread. Maybe I should tweak it a bit?
