Question
What is a Zyzzyzus?
A Zyzzyzus is the FIRST (A) AND LAST (Zyzzyzus) word.
Surely there must be some kind of prize for that one.

It just dawned on me what he is doing.
He is polishing his 1st pair of boots the Marine Corps issued him.
They were a dud to polish and get them to shine the 1st time out.
I learned lots of new tricks on polishing boots.
Never had shoes till the Corps.

Looks like this could continue for a bit longer. Your boots would be hard for anyone else to fit into, RJ.

That's better than having my DI step on them.
I'd of tried to deck him if I thought I'd of got by with it.
Didn't know then that I could whip his sorry a$$.
Found that out later when we had some on Base Fighting.
The DI's took on the MP's, and The Engineers took on the Motor Pool.
Then the winner of those divisions went at it later on.
I went up against a Cajun, (Louisiana boy) in the final go round.
He was a legal Alien and in the 3rd round, which by the way was the last round, I hit him once, and before I could recover, he hit me 6 times and I went down for a 9 count, got up, went after him again and got in 2 punches that time and run into a barrage of flying fists at the bell. Lost by a unanimous decision from the Judges. Rod Hernandez and I have been best of buds ever since. We have staid in touch over the years. I tried to talk him into getting in the MP's with me and he wanted to stay in the Motor Pool. He did his 20+ years and retired to El Paso, TX. Spent all of his time in these Bases, San Diego Recruit Depot, 5 years, and Camp Pendleton Base, 5 years, for the remainder of his time he was at 29 Psalms Base. He helped built this base, so it was like home to him.

[begin quote] But, what is the middle word?
Could it be a Mystery? [end quote] It is not "a Mystery", it is "is the"...
depending, of course on what the meaning of is is...

I'm not new, so I'm allowed to jump I guess. Btw, "last" in German is "letzte", which I know this won't be, so I'll be back.

Wow, page 9!
We must have some ground rules here.
Are we going to accept last words in languages besides English?
I'm waiting for the "Famous Last Words" chapter in this thread.
Which I'm sure, after they evolve, will be said by a Famous German Zyzzyzus in Spanish.
