It does make one wonder.....what if.  

What if our current president holds party politics and certain voting blocks in higher regard than the best interests of ALL Americans.....what if.

I voted twice for the fellow and if you look at numbers, economy is at its best in MANY years..... unemployment is now at its lowest rate since 1978- I could go on but thats just couple of things..... He has also been the most successful in fulfilling his campaign and platform issues of any president since Regan......

Mr Obama has issued Less executive orders that any president in the last 20+ years... I believe he's at just under 200 where as Bush was 291 and Clinton ordered had 364 while in office.... Teddy Roosevelt ordered 1081!! FDR was 3522... But he did have a war and a severe depression...... Which by the way we avoided one recently through decisions made by and during this administration.....

As far as FOX (fake) News.... before they came around you never heard the office of the president so disrespected...... even when the president was a crook and had to leave office... Walter Cronkite never called the president names (traitor, wanna be King, OBummer, etc) this is a news service by owned by a man who got his start running tabloid trash publications..... who also has pending possibly legal actions against him.

What are his qualifications to drive political issues? Did you know that he dropped out/Flunked out of college?? That he has only basically has been a disc jockey and talk show host his entire working life... That he has been to rehab multiple times and has lied about his drug issues.... He originally turned himself in for prescription fraud...... but he had good lawyer and a ton of money and it was expunged from his record.... most of us would have gotten prosecuted and paid some penalty, I'll bet.

Basically he is getting Paid a crap ton of money to stir the pot and has been anointed by the media as an "Authority" who has done nothing but talk and has never acted...... The closest to any real political experience is the fact that his Dad was a judge.....

All I say is, do some research and you'll see that most respected Media institutions- New York Times, Washington Post, etc. don't repeat much of whats said on TV media.. you need to take multiple "unbiased" sources into account... funny thing is a lot of what these people say doesn't look so conservative....

I was wondering why this thread has gone into three pages.

I just sorta skipped through it. Gee, a What If on a third term for the POTUS.  Now i can see why the discourse.  That would be bad news ,that's for sure.

I'm a conservative of sorts. I'm a registered local Republican.  I said local as I will not associate myself with those spineless ones in Washington.

By my count, unless I've missed one, I've lived under 14 presidents including FDR.  I've had favorites, both parties, but especially Truman and Reagan.  Truman because he had balls and Reagan because he had the right vision, IMO.  As i recall all were, more or less. presidential material except one.  By that, i mean sufficient knowledge and experience to be president, never mind the politics.

The present POTUS is the exception.  He is especially long on BS, lies, his own agenda, and political acumen (within his own leftist group in his party).

He is especially short on honesty and faithfulness to our Republic, and surrounding himself with knowledgeable aids in the serious business of ruining (I mean running)  the country.

So, in complete dumbassness in trying to give my opinion about a hypothetical third term for this POTUS, i have just rendered my .02 .

BTW, I do not listen to Rush and I neither like or dislike him.

It wouldn't matter if anyone told you specifically what he has lied about or not, you would still be blind and not see it. You're exactly like us but on the other side. I'm going to take a little different approach on this.  

I certainly acknowledge the widening and entrenched gap in left and right in my Country.  

I completely understand the Free Sh!t Army (FSA) of takers in this country who will vote left in perpetuity in their own self interest for free money and benefits and subsidies, which they correctly understand will only continue unabated (and increase) under left stewardship.  I do not believe for the most part the FSA really understands or even cares about the left's (or the right's) ideology or political theory for governance of our Country.  There is really nothing beyond self interest, and the well publicized and widely supported lie that the left looks out for minority's better than the right.

What I have a harder time understanding is the educated, enlightened left's support for our current administration insofar as lies, usurpation of power, corruption and scandal.  

If it had been discovered that a republican administration had been using the IRS to target, delay and frustrate left leaning tax free organizations (which were entirely lawful in creation and operation), I (as a conservative) would not be happy about it and just hope it would go away.  I would expect it to be fully investigated, made public, perpetrators punished or fired, and the IRS purged of any political influence peddling in ANY direction.

If a republican administration was found to have let political issues lead them to allow a number of Americans (diplomat, civilian soldiers) to be first under-protected, then attacked and murdered, while denying available reinforcements, then lie about it, then fire military leaders who spoke out about it, I would want it fully investigated, made public, and perpetrators punished or fired.

If a republican administration together with DOJ/BATFE were found to have come up with a plan to let hundreds or thousands of guns to go to Mexican cartels to be used in the murder of drug bums and also innocent civilians and my own border patrol, I would want it fully investigated, made public, and perpetrators punished or fired.

If a republican administration loaned millions and millions of dollars to companies committed to developing alternative energy sources (or anything else for that matter), and sidestepped ordinary rules in allocating such monies, and then all of these companies promptly went bankrupt without even getting close to fulfilling their promises, and all that money disappeared like smoke, I would want it fully investigated, made public, and perpetrators punished or fired.

If a republican administration just decided to bypass and marginalize congress, to unilaterally declare and direct that existing valid laws it did not like would no longer be enforced, that major changes in immigration policy and procedure would be decided from the white house, or directed banking regulators to threaten banks to stop loaning money to or carrying lines of credit for legitimate companies in businesses they did not personally like, I would not support those actions even if I happened to agree with them politically.

I could keep going here, but won't.  You get the idea.  I didn't even get to the chronic, consistent lying.

In short, we have a Constitutional Republic here that starts with a Constitution and body of federal law and regulations.  We have a lawful system in place to change or amend or revoke all or any of them, and we should abide by them.  We are a nation of laws, not of men or monarchs.

How come the enlightened, educated left (and their loving media) is seemingly happy and satisfied (and notably silent) about all of this?  Any means justify the ends?  

Are the most basic elements of morality, honor and truth different from a left or right perspective?  Really?

Edit: I am well aware that some conservatives and republican politicians are and have been less than honest and truthful and even downright sinful in the performance of their duties to the public as well.  No question about it.  But I do not recall my party (or people) marching in lockstep in support of patent abuse of power in the governance of my Country.
