Nice mid to upper 70's on the way in day here in the DFW Metromess in the Republic, but 'sposed to be tickling 100 on the way home... I rode anyway... The heat ain't so bad as long as ya' keep moving, but there's a few spots on the commute home that tend to bunch up... We'll see how it goes...

I also get to pick the 6 year old female spawn up from the daycare on the way home and take her for a dinner ride... Those daddy/daughter rides are the greatest!

It was not an officially declared "ride to work", but I rode to work. I sure hope all the once in while riders don't mind.

Rode yesterday for Ride to Work Day; had to bring the Accord today due to Golf League (why don't they make collapsible/telescoping golf clubs?) get to ride tomorrow to a supplier's site in Camarillo, ahh yes should be a nice ride down the 101 from Santa Barbara.  All on the company nickel.  With mileage reimbursement!

OK today was like riding in HOUSTON!! HAHA. It was 75 degrees and the humidity was 99% or there abouts.

The ride wasn't bad but going into work and the heat and sticky sucked.

Hello all, have a good day.

Hello to Frank Smoak where ever you are.

We must be in a weather loop here, upper 70's in the AM and UPPER 90's in the PM with heat index low 100's.
Been that way for awhile and will continue........ Guess I don't need new rain gear yet! heee heee heee

Loving the morning rides in, but sitting in the parking lots we call roads in the near 100 on the way home sucketh, but... Still beats sitting in a cage!

Ya' know it's hot when you're hoping the light turns red before you get there so you can maneuver the bike over and sit in the shade under that tree for a few minutes respite!

I too ride to work everyday, But I'll buy into this thread per the rules... Rode today, Really nice going in at 3am. little warm at 330pm. 100 degrees, 19% humidity... Phoenix. There was a time, a few years back that we had 17 bikes out of 21 employees, but as the time has gone by, some sold, some traded, some just died... Those were the good ol days... Ride Safe Don...

leaving for work soon on the valk.  Get to park right in front of the Courthouse and my friends who are Court Officers keep an eye on her for me.

Love the looks while I change out of my chaps take my trial bag out of the trunk and put on my sports jacket (no suit for Oss) put the airjacket and helmet in the trunk  and when I reverse the process as I leave around noon.

Rain has just stopped and it will be in the high 70;s and cloudy

Not too bad for a day riding in NYC

Should have been posting here everyday since the Powwow. Committed to ride everyday except for thunderstorms, snow & ice. If I wasn't willing to ride in the rain, I'd never ride, getting more comfortable on two wheels all the time, the trike is a no brainer, even in the snow! Ride safe,

Well post away Karen, if your riding to work let us know.

This is as good as it gets for some of us working stiffs who can't ride anytime we want (except to work).

Oh yea, I rode to work, 78 degrees at 6 am. gonna be 104 tonight.

Yeehaw!  It's still the best reason to go to work in the morning.  We're only expecting it to get to 100 for the ride home.

68 this morning on the way in. Supposed to be north of 90 this afternoon/evening on the way home. No complaints, tho. The spring was so wet and rainy that I'm not going to complain about heat this summer.

Rode in, roads dry enough to lay into the corners, drizzle to the Doctor's, & drizzle home. Had to tack on an extra 20 miles to my 60 mile round trip commute, really sad about that... NOT!! S'posed to be sunny tomorrow, nobody better try to slice me up & put me on a pizza...

I had to mount a knife on the front of the Valk this morning. The air was so heavy I had to slice it get here. 76 degrees and 81% humidity. The mesh jacket made me sweat.

BUT!!!! I rode! and thats better than NOT!

My thermometer on the bike said 104 yesterday afternoon but the official was 100. It wasn't so bad when you were moving.

Ride em all,

Got in late last night so I'm postin now. Rode to the job site yesterday morning at 5am. Left around 11am going about 50 miles to a metal supply dealers for the job I'm on. Placed the order then headed on down 231 South to Panama City. Air temp was above 100, new asphalt temp had to be 150. A tractor trailer pulled into the left lane to pass a cager and swirled up the heat. It got about 25 degrees hotter behind him. As soon as he moved back over I didn't let that happen again. Checked on some things and people at PC, ate dinner and headed home probably 7pm. Winds were gusting as a thunderstorm brewed just offshore cooling in down at least 20 degrees. Felt great. BTW, we've had record highs for a record number of days in a row. On the way home came upon three departments that had just extinguished a structure fire. I know those boys were hot. Got in about 220 miles for the day and back to the house at 9:30.

When will the heat let up? When this tread was started some were talking 30-40 degree weather. Where's it at now? The little storage building I'm in the middle of is taking twice as long because of the heat. Just too hot after 12 so we load up and head home.
