I and some friends are planning on riding out to Abilene tomorrow if anyone would like to join us.
Mr, K's farmhouse restuarant in Abline on Sun. The restuarant is only open from 11 am. to 2 pm. Sundays, so we are thinking about being there at noon.
Planning on leaving out from 10th and Wanamaker (gas station on SW corner) in Topeka at 10:30 a.m. Hope to see you there.

Guys,i have enjoyed reading your threads about Kansas,Kansas is the part of the USA that has special meaning for me.I have been doing my familly history and much to my surprise i have found that i have many distant cousins in Kansas.I have relatives in Scranton,Topeka,Shawnee and Osage. It felt real good to discover that after the mine closed in Scotland,my ancestors went over to the states and ended up with their own coal mine in Scranton and from there they spread out.
im hoping to make it over there next July

This will come as no surprise to those that know Stude31. This is what my '99 I/S looks like 2 hours after getting it home yesterday. Stude31 was with me and he couldn't wait to tear it apart. I am really looking forward to it getting put back together!!

I showed my wife my last post. She said to add another post letting you all know the '98 Valk Tourer in the previous picture is for sale. I am trying to convince her that both bikes fit well in garage.

Engemt - I hope you can make it - I'll be on a 99 IS green/grey surrounded by Goldwings! Several of the riders we are meeting there are from the Wichita area so may be able to get you some company on the ride back too. Hope to see you there!

Glad you had a good time Ty. I wasn't able to get away today. I missed out on church and family time on the weekend last week and wanted to enjoy this weekend. We will need to get everyone in kansas together one of these weekends. Even if it has to be in a cage I miss my kansas friends and I have new valk riders here that I would like to introduce to the rest of the Kansas members. Engemt sorry you had to go to work last night you would have had a good time w/ Ty he is a great guy and I really would have liked to have gone but it just didn't work out. Ty don't forget I still have your receiver hitch here at the house. (don't worry I won't sell it but you don't look on the back of my fender of my bike you may get jealous

The new to you IS looks good Bark - hope to see you on it soon. Just a note - if at all possible have Stude work on your bikes at his place - it's allot easier to leave them tying up his space than yours in case you need to wait on parts. Sorry Joe couldn't resist! Yeah I know I've gotta get over there and get those parts from you - every time I think I'm going to give you a call something gets in the way. I'll make it soon and get them out of your hair. - in case you didn't see it someone is selling a rear hitch in the classifieds for $200 delivered - not a bad deal.

Saturday I am planning on making a run to Williamsburg KS for Guy and Mae's ribs. I haven't made it out there yet this year and time is running out. High might make it to 55 and the sun should be out. Good enough for me.

Hum, ribs you say. I should go to work today, hopefully back on Friday. I may try to make this if the schedule works out. Will know better Friday. I'm with Jerry what time are you thinking of being there? It's been a year since the Ks Riders have gotten together so we need to for sure! I'll touch base with you Friday. Ty looking forward to meeting you. Jerry I really want to see that stolen bike you got, provided your mechanic gets it back together properly by then!! JDW

Hey hey hey.... I resent that statement. Is mechanic is "top notch"... ??? Jokester that is I don't know if I can make that or not. I was planning on going to the Topeka Roadrunners Hockey game saturday night. My brother is coming in from kansas city and a couple of his buddies. If any of you want to go to that saturday night let me know. I am going to go pick up tickets this afternoon. (of course we will be sitting front row.. only way to be at the hockey game). Oh and prior to the game we will be at Blind Tiger Brewery. Yeah we need to figure out a weekend day that we can all get together. I have to agree. Enjoy your day. Stude31

If I go, I'll prolly be riding the Tourer. My mechanic had something come up this week. I visited with him this morning and he is doing well. I ordered a K&N air filter. I am waiting for it to arrive before the bike is put back together.

I'm going to lave the Topeka area at about 11:30am.
And yes the food there (ribs ecsp.) is great.
Quick fun fact - I bought Larry Brown a beer there the spring after the 1988 national championship. Larry said it was one of his favorite places to have ribs.

Awesome!! That's pretty cool... Not sure what your plans are but I should be able to make it. I would need to be back to Topeka by 4pm to meet everyone at Blind Tiger before we head over to the game. Not sure what your doing but if you want to go with us I am going to the Expo Center to pick up tickets in a couple hours I can get more tickets if you want to go. Let me know... Or if any one else wants to go let me know.

Well the weather isn't agreeing with riding for Saturday but I don't care I'm still going and taking the bike. If anyone wants to meet up for the ride down drop me a PM and we'll figure out a time and place. I am planning on leaving Topeka at approx. 11:30 and arriving at guy and maes at 1.
Here is the destination address: 119 South Street Williamsburg, KS 66095 (785) 746-8830

Ty I am still in limbo here! The weather doesn't bother me rode home in a monsoon about 4:30 this morning, about 25 miles, refreshing I might add! Still trying to make heads or tails of my work schedule, tentatively I am still in.

I am very doubtful but not due to weather. Have family coming in this weekend and need to help with my daughter's fundraiser. Only have another year and half to be a part of her high school activities. Ride safe and enjoy those ribs.

In the house at 5 pm Great ride and even better company! It was good to see Hoser, Valkhound, Motomama, Willow, Stude31 and his wife JessI. Got to meet Tybme and a bunch of crazy Goldwingers! Although I think there was more Valks in the parking lot then wings, must have been too cold for Cadillac Riders!! The ribs were good but seeing everyone was more enjoyable. Thanks for the invite Ty and bring them wingers with you the next time we get together their a fun bunch too! I would still like to know how that waitress knew you didn't wear underwear!!!! LOL! Congrats on the house and staying a while, ??? I am interested in a get together. I'm new to the valk world myself. I've met a few of the KS Valk folks but not all. I bet Stude31, Tybme, Engemt and others will have some ideas.
