Rode in today. In a hurry ran into traffic jam( figuratively speaking). Blew by same(sorry, had to split the lanes!).  Rode home. Went out again. Needed gas. Got home. Need to fill up again before work tomorrow.
What a good day.

Needing gas is a GREAT problem on a Valk!
Wonderful ride in this am, but got caught in a monster rain at lunch.  Spent the afternoon drying off in a cold building.  At least I was riding when the skies opened up!

 Shocked
Nice day.
I'm going to work.
I need gas on the way. I have almost nothing to do when I get there. They have offered to let me cut back these hours since I'm not really doing anything, but they are willing to let me keep working so that I can make my hourly peanuts. I guess I'll go and work the whole time just to keep myself on the clock. If I'm there and doing nothing, then I'll be on line or staring out a window.

I hit 70,000 miles on the bike. So when I get home I am going to change the oil and check the bike over. I wanted to do that before I moved up to PA, so that is right on time. One of the reasons that I pushed my wife to taking the bike was so it would be closer to the oil change quicker (600 mile ride and another 100 miles at lunch yesterday do help run the numbers up a bit).  So IF I slide out early from work I'll be back home earlier to tinker on the bike.

Commute to ride, ride to commute...while it lasts.

later that same day...
Okay I'm here AT work so that counts as a commute. I'm not doing anything productive or useful so I'm not sure being here counts as work. Oh well. I'm getting paid.

OK I'm here today. I had to haul some scrap metal off yesterday so no ride then. I'll try to ride twice as far today to make it up!

This has sure been a tough spring to call weather wise, I dug out the heavy gloves for the third time. I've put them away "for summer" twice already. 40 this morning.

Would you believe it turned out foggy in St. Louis this morning?????

But I rode anyway...and I didn't even out on my rainsuit.  The shield and bike got wet but I stayed dry enough.  It is also the first time I rode in the "rain" with my Avon Cobras...all I can say is...DAMN!!!!  They stuck to the pavement like glue the few times I tried to break them lose.  I didn't try REAL hard...but hard enough in places I know it can get very slick when wet.

I think I am falling in love with my Fat Lady's new shoes!!  Cheesy

Once again finds my ride sitting outside my office!!! The weird weather has been held at bay for at least today... may be the last day this week I get to ride so I took advantage of it. Now to leave a little early... all in the name of getting to the post office before the mail goes out!  Wink

Yep...I was right yesterday...I got wet riding home.  No biggie, though since I had my rain suit and full face helmet.  And I rode today again even though they are calling for more rain.  But it wasn't raining when I left this morning...which is generally my rule for taking the bike versus the Jeep.

I am in the same boat as Bob.  If it isn't raining in the morning when I head out, I usually ride to work...unless it is goign to storm in the afternoon...then I take the car.

Saying that, I rode in this morning with a heavy mist in the air...but they are calling for it to clear off and be a semi-nice day.

I agree with the assessment that if you can make it to work dry enough to look professional the take the bike. If you have to get wet on the ride home? well you have dry clothes at home.
That's been my decider for a while.
Today was beautiful.
A co-worker pulled up beside me this morning on his 1500 Gold Wing. He was wearing a short sleever bike shop shirt sand some jeans grinning from ear to ear. I felt over dressed in my slacks and dress shirt beside of him, but when I got inside the building I felt more properly attired. Professional is a loosely used word around here anyway. However, he's at the end of his career looking toward the door, and I'm at the beginning of my career looking toward begging for more work in the future. So he rides around looking comfortable and I ride around looking professional.
Tis life.
I'm here at work. I also got to do work today which is a nice switch up from the usual day.
Yesterday I just sat there playing on the internet and collecting a paycheck.
Today my visit to the itnernet will be brief and I will get back to work. That feels better.

The morning of my day is over.
I get to commute home, grab some lunch and wait, then commute to the evening part of the day. Four commute days are fun like that.
The sky is just as blue as it was on Monday.
Atleast that part of my day is looking upward and skyward. It is getting better already.

wasn't it supposed to rain at some point yesterday?
The sky was beginning to brighten into another beautiful day again today. I think the weather woman said that the rain was pushed back to Saturday. I wasn't really listening I was watching birds play in the bushes in the front yard.

I realized that I didn't need to leave for another 1/2 hour but that I was ready to leave, so I left and took the long way.

Away I went.

A long ride in this morning.

Again, I'm AT work, but I don't really think I will be working today. I'll probably just be sitting here looking at the window. But I commuted. It counts.  crazy2

cooldude   Rode to work today ... weather was sweet!!  It's sure hard to go to the office when the ride is this awesome.   Unfortunately seen a rollover accident when I come home ... someone going to fast through a corner lost control ..

Always a good day when you get to ride!   Cool

I awoke early to a sound that sounded like a light drizzle. It must have been a trick of my imagination and the ceiling fan on the window screens.
This morning was nice. The weather woman was talking about the coming rain in certain terms, but today is only a 20% chance, tomorrow is higher. I'm sure it will rain eventually.
I rode in to work early to tidy up a project and get prepared, also in the event of rain (which it didn't) I wanted time to dry out.
Here I am about to work today.
Commute to work, work to commute! Cool

Mark down another ride to work...  Temps in the low to mid 40's when I headed in, with a very minor threat of some light rain.

Now that I'm here, the sun is out, and it's gettin' kinda nice  cooldude

Gee, it's Friday, I've gotta come back to my office/lab twice this weekend, maybe I'll scoot outta here a bit early today  Roll Eyes

We rode today.  Used the HOV lanes into town (Dallas) this am.  Too early coming out for the HOV lanes, so we braved I-35E and Highway 67.  Traffic relatively light at noon.  Pleasant weather and a pleasant ride.  Riding into work spices up an otherwise routine work day, but we fear the traffic too much to ride the Valk daily.

We trudge on.

Thank God I rode to work today.  After dealing with the freaking idiots there, I really needed the two wheel release.  Once the seat pushed against my butt, I felt the tensions start draining away.

I usually have a rule, if it’s not raining now then it’s good weather to ride the bike to work ‘cause after work it doesn’t matter-riding my Valkyrie makes all the agony of work blow away! Rode every day for the last two weeks, couldn’t ride today ‘cause I left my key in the auxiliary position while listening to the radio in the garage draining the battery!!! I guess I could have push started it.  I will ride tomorrow! Rain or shine!

6:00 am. 64 degrees. Dry. Let's ride to work!

Commute to ride, ride to commute.

I only have six or seven more days spread throughout the next two weeks, then I'm done for the spring.  Work is running out. Two days of teaching (with four commutes a day). Two days of tutoring (mornings only). Two or three days of exams. This semester has went quickly.

I'm checking the weather to make sure I get the right jacket and then off I go.

later that same morning...Good ride in!  cooldude  I feel ready for the day. Life happened this weekend so I haven't had the opportunity to ride since my commute Friday. It was a nice return to work on the bike and should make the Monday livable.

elsewhere and back again...yes, I understand that it is going to possibly rain this afternoon. I stepped out to the bike to run to make a bank deposit a little bit ago. Several people felt neighborly enough and inclined to point out that they are calling for rain potentially this afternoon. I understand.

However, at the moment, it is just under 70, with a cool breeze and a bright blue sky.
I'll worry about rain later. Right now I'm riding back and forth. As long as I can make it to  my afternoon commitment dry what else matters. If I get wet on the way home in a little while...oh well...it happens.

Today is, at least until the rain actually falls, a good day for bike riding, shorts wearing, or my favorite Andy Williams song, "Music to Watch..." but not at the same time because that could get dangerous.

finally after the evening portion of my day...I successfully enjoyed the ride back to work this evening, did my job, and headed home. Saw rain but never felt it on the ride home. So to all those folks that kept telling me today,"it's going to rain," I now say, "HA"

Got in a little late this morning (as usual when I ride), plus, I get to miss the idiots that think if they do 80 in a 60 at 8:15, they can get to work before 8:00! Plus, being late this morning, I'll get to miss the same idiots about 5:15 this afternoon too!

Plus, I got a lot of dirty looks from the smokers huddled around in the parking garage, since I swapped out my Cherry Bombs for 2 straight pipes over the weekend!!!  Evil

No rain, partly cloudy, mid-70's, little or no wind.  Yep, definitely glad I rode in to work this morning. Got a pretty good commute; 45 miles along the California coast.  Cool

Was a great ride in.  BEAUTIFUL WEATHER...was about 55, sun coming up, a few clouds in the sky, and my dragon was flying!!!  Cheesy

As an added bonus this morning, when I got to the interstate I have to take to get to work on time, I pulled up next to a Victory.  The bike looked pretty stock.  We were side by side when we hit the ramp...I don't know if he wasn't trying at all or just couldn't keep up, but when I rolled on the throttle and stepped through the gears...he just got smaller and smaller.  Cheesy  I Love my Bike!!!
