Great fun. We had a couple of no shows and one couple that was snowed in on the othe side of the mountains. All in all a nice turn out. Thanks to Mark and June for putting this together. The food was great and I will be eating there again soon. Whooray left early this morning to catch a plane home. It was good to spend some time with an OLD friend.  cooldude

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Colorado riding friends!

Merry Christmas to you Tom and all the Colorado crew.  Had a foot of snow here the other day, with another expected on Christmas Day.  While beautiful, these white Christmases ain't all they're cracked up to be!

Pretty quiet here on the Colorado thread. What is everyone up to?

I'm remodeling my master bathroom. The Valk is buried in the garage behind a vanity, toilet, drywall, and light fixtures.

Misfit, I still want to overhaul my forks. I will contact you when the bathroom project wraps up to see if we can schedule a time for me to come up.

Anyone else wanting to do some work on their forks? If so lets try to schedule a time where we can all do the work at once.

Hope everyone and everyone's Valks are doing good.  Smiley

Josh I also need to have my forks looked at, have some new seals.  Also got a new chrome Wolo Bad Boy that I can't figure a place for since I have hanger and tranny covers installed.  Plus the old girl needs DOT fluids, etc. to get it into shape for the summer and INZANE!!!   Cool Unfortunately the Silver Bullet is currently sitting in a -10* garage, so unless your bathroom project will go another 2-3 months don't wait for me!

Phil is bringing his bike down this weekend I think, for a set of tires, some wiring issues,a wheel Bearing, and what ever else.
Seth I still have the tire that you shipped here last fall. We can have a look at your forks when you get over this way in the spring.
I still have tires here for Denver Dave's bike also.
It only takes an hour to rebuild a set of forks so you guys let me know know when you want to get it done and I will try to accommodate. If you all want to come at once that works too.  cooldude

Thanks, I have access to a trailer so weather (snow) would be less of a consideration. I have the fork seals.

Reading the multiple threads on fork oil and options left me with no clear answer. What should I bring for the oil?

I won't have my act together by this weekend.. darn it. Last night I installed the new vanity and toilet, but still have a lot of work to do. The wife hasn't have a working bathroom for over a month now, so it wouldn't be good for me to haul off this Saturday and spend the day working on the bike.

Misunderstanding. I didn't mean for you guys to show up this weekend. I was just stating that this one was already spoken for. I think that if we are all going to get together that we should wait awhile and do it right. Maybe let the weather warm up a little so that we can mill around outside as well as in. Maybe come up with some garage grub. If we put it out there a ways maybe more folks can fit it into there plans. What about the first part of April or the last part of March since GOTF is pushed to the middle of April? I'm open to whatever fits the masses.  cooldude

Rode with Misfit today.  Great ride!  I'm new to the area and hope to meet more of you soon.  Thanks to Damon for a great ride.  I'm guessing I'd be still looking for the way home without him.  Be safe.

Pueblo recently hit the high 70's and got me itchin for a good ride.  Cheesy

I ordered all the parts to rebuild my front forks. I am on the fence about upgrading to progressive springs.  Undecided Could it really be worth the extra $$?

Hey, Hager's wife here.
We are hungry for a ride. I'm about 150lbs and I  have a 40lb 5yo. Would love if a couple of you could take us out sometime after March. We live in Florence still. Wouldn't have to be long or special. Hager has us spoiled to the Valkyrie. Nothing else will do. Thanks. My new email I put on here. Misfit has my new number.

Love to do that.  We'll have to set up a ride.  Mine's a std though.  An Interstate might be best for the little one.  Wing even better but mine's in the shop (OK not really in the shop but I have to do some wrenching on it, needs a front tire and a couple parts.)

Hey Terri so awesome to hear from you!  I hope you and Xander are doing well.  I got in a first ride of the season today, and thought about Darby a couple times.  It was a beautiful day, but not as glorious as his eternal riding grounds.  I need to do some maintenance on the Valkyrie before she's worthy of such precious cargo, but I too would love to get you guys back into the wind this summer.  This is all that is separating our worlds.

Baird,

What's the black "surround" around the headlight on your Valk?

Looks neat. How did you do it?

Could I trouble you for a head-on pic?
