I have a 98 standard with leather bags. Wanting to change the paint this winter so want to go with a set of hard bags. Looking for a set that flows with the line of the bike and not a "universal set". If someone knows of such a bag your help would be appreciated.

Champion brand, Patriot

They have 1500 brackets you can buy or the bag fits stock Honda hardware.  Look for a used set. I found two sets paid no more than $250 shipped  cooldude

Black set on my 1800C below

Or used Stock.

Tsukayu Strongs or Jumbo Strongs are your best bet.  Besides used OEs.  But you'll have to have some mounting skills.

One or two other outfits sell their bags, and they might be a bit cheaper.

One thing to keep in mind.  Some aftermarket BIG seats may make the hinged bag lids difficult to get past the seat.

Thanks Jerry for the tempting, and I might've considered it if they would actually show..Too much for parts that can't be seen.

I noticed the other day it is easy to get Vulcan saddlebags for less
than $300 on eBay most of the time... here's a Valkyrie with Vulcan
saddlebags...

You'd have to get them painted and mount them some kind of way (OEM
leather bag mounts are a good start)...

The Ace Tourer bags are the same OEM bags. Sadly the support brackets are not the same.

Aren't the Tsykayu Strongs and the Mustangs the same bags, minus the covers?
