Trump: I am 'proud' of Pence for leaving the Colts game

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sp...d=spartanntp&ffid=gz

President Trump on Sunday praised Vice President Mike Pence for walking out of the Indianapolis Colts game after several San Francisco 49ers kneeled during the national anthem.

Pence was expected to attend the Colts game Sunday, but tweeted that he left in response to the kneeling players.
"I left today's Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence said in a statement......................

Good for him. I have always liked Pence. It's sad when the VP of the US up and leaves your game because you think you're proving something but in reality are disrespecting the Country and every person ever to be or still active in ihe military. I hope the NFL goes bankrupt and they all lose their jobs.

I'll Happily/Gladly add my Kudos to what Vice President Pence did. While I do In fact applaud the V Ps action I doubt if said action will in any way shape or form effect the nfl. They-nfl-feel and mayhaps believe they are a legend in their own collective what they pass off for minds. Keep on kickin-nfl-them sumbitches in the wallet.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Sad how so many players and owners dont understand respect for country and ignore their own published rules for standing for the national anthem

and so many people just dont understand how well they have it because of the sacrifices of others

Ive always been a Bronx Giant's fan since they used to play at Yankee Stadium when I was a kid in the Bronx, but they are dead to me as the other nfl teams.  Was actually pleased to hear they lost today

Maybe the NFL should play a few games in Afghanistan to get some humble pie

We are slowly finding out the truth about who is supporting unrest in the US.

NFL players union partners with George Soros to bankroll anti-Trump ‘resistance’

The NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) donated money to the Soros-funded Center for Community Change Action, a left-wing activist group that bankrolls anti-Trump protests, according to tax documents released by 2ndVote.

While most football fans probably thought the NFL was a nonpartisan organization, its labor union has been quietly donating money to leftist political causes for years.

Soros — a supporter of the anti-police Black Lives Matter movement and alt-left Antifa thugs — actually worked for the Nazi party during his youth. Let that sink in.

One must consider the source when these accusations are posted.  Cool the entire article Robert posted is nothing more than propoganda.

Soros was 13 years old in March 1944 when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary.[31] Jewish children were barred from attending school by the Nazis, and Soros and the other schoolchildren were made to report to the Judenrat ("Jewish Council") which had been established during the occupation. Soros later described this time to writer Michael Lewis: "The Jewish Council asked the little kids to hand out the deportation notices. I was told to go to the Jewish Council. And there I was given these small slips of paper.... I took this piece of paper to my father. He instantly recognized it. This was a list of Hungarian Jewish lawyers. He said, "You deliver the slips of paper and tell the people that if they report they will be deported."[32][33]

Soros did not return to that job; his family purchased documents to say that they were Christians, thereby allowing them to survive the war. Later that year at age 14, Soros posed as the Christian godson of an official of the collaborationist Hungarian government's Ministry of Agriculture, who himself had a Jewish wife in hiding. On one occasion, rather than leave the 14 year old alone, the official took Soros with him while he inventoried a rich Jewish family's estate, though Soros did not take part. Tivadar not only saved his immediate family but also many other Hungarian Jews, and George would later write that 1944 had been "the happiest [year] of his life," for it had given him the opportunity to witness his father's heroism.[34][35] In 1945, Soros survived the Siege of Budapest in which Soviet and German forces fought house to house through the city.

Although I haven't actually looked for it, it seems the networks are passing on showing the national anthem.

I didn't see it before the Giants/Chargers game, so I didn't boycott the game.

I did see a lot of empty seats, but that may be partly because the Giants are tanking big time, which makes me smile.  And the reason I watched it was to hopefully see them lose again, which they did. Smiley

Aaron Rodgers has still got it. cooldude

Apparently, no one protested at that game.

I was watching the Kansas City/ Houston game when I visited this web page.

http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/251686/nfl-players-who-protested-during-national-anthem-in-week-5

4 Kansas City players protested, so I shut the game off.

Hopefully, I get to see the Yankees get beat.

You are so far off on Soros, each one of those is taken out of context. Right from Georges own mouth and he didn't leave that job of confiscation of property from the Jews because he was a sworn son of a German official. His father a lawyer, Jewish, wealthy gave his son to a German government official to be his son.

This says nothing of all the current things like the overthrow of governments the starting of riots and the recent petition on the White House website to declare Soros a traitor to the US.

Your comments and your lack of knowledge about a subject has again made you look bad in your rush to condemn someone else.

I gave you a video of him personally admitting in an interview the that he confiscated the Jews possessions and could care less and if that was not enough then here is some more on your homeboy. Oh wait a minute, isnt that what the left is calling all the white conservatives? LOL no wonder it got you, yup

George Soros is a Nazi and one that believes in everything they stand for.  But in this instance its actually true.

http://www.catholic.org/featured/headline.php?ID=558
NEW YORK, DEC. 6, 2003 (Zenit) - The recent overthrow of Georgia's President Eduard Shevardnadze put billionaire financier George Soros back in the headlines. Voices soon circulated that the Open Society Institute, the philanthropic foundation established by George Soros, was one of the major players in the power changeover in the former Soviet republic. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa on Wednesday, Shevardnadze himself accused Soros of being behind his fall from power.

Although I haven't actually looked for it, it seems the networks are passing on showing the national anthem.

I don't know about this one way or the other.

But I was just thinking about this very thing the other day; like not showing fights during a game (for the good of the game).

Since the MSM is essentially leftist politically, I was thinking they would never not show the NFL kneelers.  That they could never bring themselves not to show them (close up and multiple angles).

But understanding just how many bazillion dollars the MSM and NFL (and advertisers and endorsements) have tied up in Pro football, now I'm thinking if they are not showing the kneelers, it has come home to roost that if the good people of middle America sh!t-can the NFL, they are all out a large number of bazillions. Like a house of cards.  It's nice to know corporate leftists still have an essential understanding of capitalism.

I may boycott the NFL..... but that doesn't mean I'm ever going to start watching soccer (which seems to be all over the TV).  Who the hell watches that crap?  It makes bowling look interesting.

VP Pence did the right thing. The NFL and ANY other sport league can go belly up as far as I'm concerned if they don't respect our Nation.

It does appear that the networks are avoiding showing the playing of the national anthem and the player protest.    I tuned in to the Chiefs/Texans game last night.   I suppose it is possible I missed that part of the show due to other distractions but, I doubt it.   I was very interested in seeing how this played out.

Didn't see the protest or the playing of the national anthem.   So I did a little internet research while watching the first part of the show/game.    Took a while but I finally determined that some players did protest.   So I changed to watch something else.   Would have liked to have watched that game but, there are more important matters out there.   Hopefully, advertisers and the NFL will eventually get the message.   When that happens, I'll return to watching the Chiefs play.

The NFL and it's players need to understand, they need their fans more than the fans need them.   There are other things to do out there.

What Jerry has proven he understands is how his wallet is being effected by the fans disapproval of this protest and how the Cowboys all knelt in previous games.   He's not stupid.

Why would that make a difference?   Had I been sitting beside the Vice President, I'm sure I would have said, if they disrespect our anthem, flag, country and veterans, I'm leaving.

Stunt?   What do you call the protest?

Had the protestors not have pulled their "stunt" the VP and I could have  enjoyed the game and I may have found an opportunity to discuss with him how to take the President's twitter account away.

For whatever his reasons, I'm glad Jerry Jones showed he has the guts to stand up to these so called "protestors" and stand for the National Anthem.

My opinion of him has gone up some and I hope the rest of the owners will step up also.

It certainly seems the NFL office has no cajones.

Thats the point Ron. The protests are a political stunt. Pence going there knowing the 49'ers would take a knee was also a political stunt. Although his cost us upwards of a quarter million dollars.

If the plan was to leave if the "protesters" decided, again, to disrespect the Flag, the National Anthem, every Veterian that has served, and America in general, then it's a plan I agree with.  Political or not.

The "protesters" put the plan into action.

Mike Pence did what I would have done.

I'm sure the man just went to be inconvenienced and stir up controversy uglystupid2

The players actually made the choice for him, if they had not taken a knee he could have stayed, it was their choice. So they actually cost us the money, just like Anifta in the removing of the statues has cost the US hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The players knowing who was going to be in the crowd could have given courtesy to Pence and not taken a knee, but they didnt.
One gesture of not taking a knee this time could have restored some long lost NFL respect by giving honor and respect to the vice president of the United States and the country but they thought little of the opportunity so I say let them get what they deserve.

What a shame that some cannot look at the act of disrespect and call it for what it is. Blame and responsibility doesn't fall with those that do right but with those that do wrong. In our PC society it seems some are so lost that they forgot this lesson.

Seems Obama had a big problem with this also in calling Islamic terrorists every other name except what they are, "terrorists".

No way this could have been a planned political stunt.  ???

... since the trip had been in the planning a long time.

Why would that make a difference?   Had I been sitting beside the Vice President, I'm sure I would have said, if they disrespect our anthem, flag, country and veterans, I'm leaving.

Stunt?   What do you call the protest?
Thats the point Ron. The protests are a political stunt. Pence going there knowing the 49'ers would take a knee was also a political stunt. Although his cost us upwards of a quarter million dollars.

Well worth it IMHO............................   At least, this was a unifying message.   2funny
Very conservative indeed.  Wink

If the plan was to leave if the "protesters" decided, again, to disrespect the Flag, the National Anthem, every Veterian that has served, and America in general, then it's a plan I agree with.  Political or not.

The "protesters" put the plan into action.

Mike Pence did what I would have done.
Bill, that's fine. But lets take it for what it was, a stunt to show up the protesters.

A stunt, maybe.

Good leadership, absolutely.

I sincerely doubt you realize how personal this attack is to the vast majority of Americans, especially Veterans.   I view it similar to pissing on the graves of all those who have served in the past to give you and those protestors the right they are now using.    Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.    If at some point in the future someone finds a way to truly insult you and what you believe in, please let us know.    I'll be sure to remind you of this protest.    Yes, I take this very personally.

Ron, please listen to this. I am not in favor of these players taking a knee, IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM ! I think what they are doing is stupid and wrong. I think the owners are just as dumb for letting them do it. They have clauses in their contracts for "conduct detrimental to the team". I think they should apply those clauses. I am a veteran. I would never do anything disrespectful towards our country, nor would I let any of my children or grandchildren. But to say the are "pissing on the graves" is not true. They are taking a knee in protest of what they believe are injustices towards people of color. You fought for this right, I served for this right. Regardless of how stupid theses protesters are.
