Apparently some on the left think that calling a place a crap hole, is being racist to a person or people.  I don't think that is the case.  Yet, I have been to Haiti, and it was a crap hole.  The government there is corrupt (as were the Clinton's that received/took money from Haiti).  The Haitian government has its people living in squalor, without plumbing and in deplorable conditions.  I have been there in the Navy and we even did some humanitarian efforts to church/school. 

I believe Trump said "crap hole" and he was only speaking the truth, but he wasn't being racist and calling the people  any racists names etc.  The left wants to blow it up and make a deal over his words and twist it to mean what they want it to mean......  most can see thru that and Trump can deny he said racist comments, which crap hole doesn't appear to be. 

Just because it might be a crap hole, doesn't mean we (the U.S.) should be responsible to take in the folks their own government won't take care of.  It would, like it has already, put a further burden on the U.S. Taxpayer even more, and god knows we already have our own homeless and in need veterans etc.  And even tho the Dems want more democratic voters,  at some point, we need to control who/what/when/where and why,  we accept into our country.

A bit of context is due here, the meeting was a meeting in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on Thursday. There was one Senator that accused Trump of this comment and it was not open to the public nor was it recorded. 

The source said Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin was explaining to him a proposal to end the visa lottery in exchange for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for countries such as El Salvador. Durbin was going through a list of TPS countries that would be covered. When he got to Haiti, Trump asked why the US wants more people from Haiti and African countries.

Durbin and Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham were meeting with Trump and GOP lawmakers to discuss a compromise plan from a bipartisan "Gang of Six" senators, but were rebuffed and told to keep working, Durbin said told reporters.

While these comments may or may not have been made it was a closed door meeting and someone (Durbin probably) violated privacy concerns to make a headline, a questionable personality trait.

The governments of these countries are not following the best practices of restoring the public places, making the countries safe for their citizens and restoring the rule of law. That is a s@@@ hole country, not because of the people but because of those who run the country.

The big fail for the UN in being a global power is the failure to take a country like Haiti and make something of it. The UN is another example of a taker and do nothing except make 3 world countries out of all.

I think what also amazes me is the lack of acknowledgement of the previous admins corruption, while dissing the current admin. She was in charge of U.S. aid allocated to Haiti. Together the Clintons were the two most powerful people who controlled the flow of funds to Haiti from around the world.

The word Hypocrisy is a applicable word for this situation. Since the champion of the liberal left and almost president, had all the money power and authority to make a difference in Haiti and stole from it instead.Also Obama did not keep the promises he was elected on and instead decided to follow his own agenda lying to the American people. It's actually quite interesting to see the spin that's applied to the daily antics provided by 'that guy'.

 Ha ha ha ha. That's rich.  All we heard for 8 years were you liberals making excuses for Obama.  OMG spin. The Obama administration was one big merry-go-round. The lamestreem media spun everything he said to fit their narrative. In Trumps case they spin EVERYTHING against him no matter if it's possitive or not. If it wasn't for FOX we would have no idea what the president is doing to help us.

Not in defense of Trump but many presidents were course and profane.  Johnson and Nixon come to mind.  Just wasn't publicized back when people respected the office and before the internet where gossip, lies, spin and conspiracy theories spread like a contagious virus. I don't care if he's profane, gay, or unfaithful if only he had a real agenda and stuck to it to some extent.  Let me assure you that Trump is all Id.  A frequent occurrence in people born to privilege and protected from consequences and failure.  Their ego and super ego never develop to rein in the Id.  Normal folks have to develop these and learn to control their infantile impulses. Trump has no agenda except to curry praise to reinforce his infallibility.  He doesn't care where it comes from.  Putin, deplorables, Fox News, Democrats, doesn't matter as long as it reinforces his unbounded sense of self.  Other leaders have had the same problem.  The ultimately successful ones like Winston Churchill were surrounded by strong social, military and political structures  that could and mostly did overrule his rash decisions and impulses.  Unfortunately for Trump he has tweeter.  He should just STFU.
