Question on Dan Marc installation

I am going to be installing a Dan Marc AFC-152 this weekend. Wondering if someone can chime in and tell me what size brass hose(s) I need for installing this?

No brass noses needed..... But you will need brass hose barbs tha screw on/into your fuel valve and th barb slides into the hose with a hose clamp over it.    Here is a good read for ya with some pics.....

I too am adding a Dan Marc; I ran into a problem with the Dan Marc because I bought the one with the filter.  I find that it was too long to easily fit into the empty space above the engine.  I have reordered the solenoid without the filter.   With the filter I also felt the gas line was too close to the engine and I didn't want the gas to get heated up before it went into the carbs.
I did not want to take off the air box, but I did end up losing it up and moving it a little.   I also decided to change air filter since I was in there.

I am currently in the middle of a project using the Dan Marc valves

from my research I found the valves  have 1/8" female pipe threads

and the fuel line on the Valkyrie is 8mm witch is closest to 5/16

I ordered straight and elbow 1/8 pipe thread to 5/16 barb fittings for my project.

The hose barbs are for 5/16" hose and the threaded ends are 1/4" NPTF. 3/8" is too large.
Finding the threaded "T" took some local searching....found it at Home Depot in the brass fitting section.
The filtered Dan Mark will fit cleanly in the "alley", between the hoses dropping down from the airbox. While installation with the airbox on is do-able, I might suggest removing it for a much easier installation and less stress on the fuel rail "O" rings and hoses while it is being fitted into place.

Thanks everybody for your input. I will be removing the airbox as I will also be installing an Audiovox CCS-100 cruise control when I install the Dan Marc.

To install mine I used:

About 2 feet of 5/16" ID fuel line from Autozone if you don't want to cut and reuse the old stuff.
3 each brass male 1/4" pipe thread to 5/16" ID hose barbs. Got them at Autozone also.
1 each 1/4" pipe thread female T fitting. Got at Lowes in the plumbing section.
Your preferred electrical connectors and thread sealant, if any.
5 hose clamps sized for the OD of the above mentioned fuel line

One barb goes on the inlet side of the valve (where it connects to the fuel line to your tank)
The t goes on the other end on the fitting that comes with the valve.
The two other barbs go into the other two ports of the t and connect to short fuel lines that go to your carb rails.

Once you are in there it will all be obvious

While you are there think about doing the desmog and a installing a new 5/32" ID vacuum line from the petcock to the #6 inlet runner, unless you go to a Pingle.
Also some Viton inlet O-rings and some new plugs for the other intake runners, all available from Red-Eye.

O-rings already done. No plugs for intake runners since I will be installing my cruise control.

I was looking them over and noticed they sell one that enters from the top and turns 90* inside the shut off valve. It just seems logical to me to have the fuel line drop straight down into the dan marc, eliminating any chance of a bend or crimped line. It is 3/8th pipe thread so it would be closer to the actual fuel line size. (providing I can find a 3/8 x 5/16 barbed fitting.

Ok...after some further reading, I've decided not to install the AFC152. I'm going to play it safe and go with the well tested AFC111. Ordered one off eBay and should have it next week.

Poppa are they cheaper on eBay? I've only looked at them on the DanMarc site.

I paid 37 bucks with free shipping on ebay. I don't care how much cheaper they are at Dan-Marc, I'm never ordering from them again. An entity that does not have the common courtesy or decency to respond to customer's emails doesn't deserve any of my business. The ONLY reason why they responded was because I opened a dispute with Paypal.

The problem wasn't with either order placement or shipping. I placed my order on Saturday, selected USPS priority mail and they shipped it out on Monday, but I never received a tracking number. Sent them 2 emails requesting one and never got a reply back. I waited till the following Saturday having never received it and if they did ship out priority mail I should have got it within 6 days. Finally I opened a dispute with Paypal and I got an email within a few hours with a UPS tracking number.

Considering that I had to go to this extreme even to get a tracking number, I refuse to do any future business with them.
