The Confederate "battle flag" is a symbol of people who battled to destroy the United States of America because they hated America and what she stands for. They wanted to (and tried to) form their own country. They lost, and badly. Most of you who want to fly the flag of the people who wanted to destroy America are of the same ilk...United States of America haters. The south will not rise again. Get over it. You lost. The confederate flag is the flag of America hating losers. But but it's southern heritage you say? The heritage of bigoted, racist, losers.
Those with the confederate flag or battle flag on their uniform, or waving that flag were to be shot on sight, since they are traitors trying to destroy the United States of America. The civil war was not fought solely on the subject of slavery, but the difference of opinion on slavery was one of the issues. The battle flag of the confederate states has come to be associated with bigotry, racism, and violence towards people because of the color of their skin. Even though the swastika was around long before Germany, it came to be associated with Nazis.
As an American, I respect anyone's right to wave whatever flag they like. Shoot, maybe you wish we were still British subjects, and you want to wave their battle flag too. Have at it! Why don't you wave the flag of North Vietnam or Korea while you are at it. Of course if you wave a Nazi flag, or a Confederate flag you will be looked at with disdain for cherishing the symbol of bigotry, and racism. The flag belongs in history books and museums to remind people of what not to do.

The Constitution did not forbid slavery and without its endorsement in that document
there is no end result to the 2nd continental congress and no US of A Jefferson, Washington all owned slaves and had no issue with it !
If you bother to read my prior post or the wonderful book I recommended that shows the way so many
Presidents failed our country before the war you would see that the south was
not trying to destroy the USA but to live the way they truly believed they were entitled to live since 1785 or so The Missouri Compromise, the Kansas wars, every new state was a battleground
whether to be admitted as slave or free
And the Democratic party, the party of entitlements, was the party of the south especially
South Carolina which seceeded and when the USA would not abandon its fort opened fire for 34 hours or so till it was surrendered.
Look at the KKK rallies and see all of those american stars and stripes, Would you ban our flag and white sheets from Kmart? Or ban the BEHAVIOR,

Yes Oss, the southern traitors were trying to live the way they thought they should. They thought state rights supercede federal (the wrong way). I am well aware that it had to do with several subjects other than slavery. Good thing the USA taught them a thing or two about the right way.
If you don't think seceding and firing weapons at the USA wasn't trying to destroy the USA, I dunno what to say to ya. The southern, Republican controlled states are still trying to discriminate, and believe they have the right to do so. Good thing we have a Supreme Court to put them in their place.
Here we are over 100 years later, and the south still thinks they will rise again. The only word to describe that line of thinking is "delusional".
I don't expect to win you confederates over. I just like to poke fun at your delusional thinking. The south lost. They are incapable of winning. They couldn't win at war, they couldn't win in court, and they can't win in the court of public opinion either. The old bigoted ways are dying out slowly. California is the best state in the union, and we have lots to be proud of. We have the best motorcycle riding roads, views, and weather. We can do 70 on the freeways legally, and also split lanes. We have beautiful beaches, fertile valleys that grow the best produce in the world, volcanoes, deserts, and beautiful mountains with lots of twisties to ride. We have skiing and surfing. We have some of the best wine in the world.
