BP's:  The saddle on Big Mama is a custom job.  It is quite comfortable.  We like it a lot.

We trudge on (comfortably seated).

I rode to work today.  Actually, I've been riding almost every day, but I slacked off on replying to this thread.  Yesterday was actually the first day in a couple weeks that I drove the Jeep to work because it was raining in the morning.  And last week, I actually had a 600 mile day of riding for work travelling around central PA looking at potential bridge projects.

Hey Varmintist...where are you located in Western PA.  I'm in Canonsburg.

If I were to post only when I drove my truck, y'all would almost never hear from me. If I can't ride to work I might as well stay home! 75 and humid, rain later today......... so what, liquid sunshine.
bike needs a bath anyway.......  uglystupid2

Well I had liquid sunshine all the to work today myself. It will make the ride home better feeling I'm sure.

Thanks for the seat update trudgeon. Nice job and it does look comfortable.

Hey Varmintist...where are you located in Western PA.  I'm in Canonsburg.

N of Butler a bit, off of 68, little town of Chicora.

I rode to work today, with a continuing flight to Niagra Falls this afternoon. The Boy Scouts are going camping near there and its the sons first year and camping trip with them, so they wanted me to show up.

 cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

Not a problem I says. Threw the tents (they wanted a extra so I brought the Taj MaTent also, big enough for me to stand in) in the scout leaders truck and have my chair, shooting mat (for under sleeping bag), and seabag strapped on the back of the Valk standing by for 4:30pm.

All I have to do is remain able to read a map and things should go well  uglystupid2

Cool...I get up to Butler area quite often.  We have a camper at Moraine Camplands just off of 528 that we try and get to pretty often through the summer.  In fact, we were there last weekend for Memorial Day and are planning to go there next weekend (I have 3-day weekends every other week).  This will be our 3rd trip up this year.  My in-laws bought the camper about 4 years ago.  It's a nice campground...a little crowded, but a nice place to get away.

Rode to work to day at 6am a bit chilly but nothing like some of the early April morning rides to work that were down to 20 degrees- leathers do help though.

Rode to work this morning. Was running late because I stowed my card key/work ID in the kids bag while we were camping. It ended up in the laundry with the wet clothes.

Good thing the trooper at the church was busy with paperwork and not running the radar. Thanks buddy  angel It is had to adjust to 45 after 4 hours straight of 70+. The hand just wants to hang down lower.

I rode to work yesterday and today.  Yesterday was nice, but pretty cool in the morning.  Today was much warmer...but it rained last night so the roads are wet.  And it is looking like I'll be wet going home this afternoon.

I have ridden a differnet bike to work everyday this week and I will ride tomorrow on Stealth Bike (03 Standard).  Great week and it's been a lot of fun to compare different bikes.  The Valk is still the best, nothing compares to it.  My 06 FJR is great and is more fun in some respects, but is not nearly as comfortable to ride as the Valkyrie.  Everyone ride safe and any day you ride is a good day.  cooldude

Damn it, couldn't ride yesterday cause the bike was missing front tire and forks! Got it all back together last night and scrubbed in the tire this morning! Had the forks off to replace the bushings (mainly) and seals since I had a flat and needed to fix that.

Rode the IS to work today at 6am dark and gloomy skies and a bit misty, all day forecast only 10% chance of liquid but what the heck she was made to be ridden.  (Rain gear in side bag if needed)

I rode to work today. I pulled my rear wheel after Britman's Memorial Day ride, replaced the tire and the dampers,
pulled the drive shaft and lubed both ends of it.

The pinion-end of my driveshaft is wearing poorly. I think the universal-end looks good, but
I didn't take a close up picture to double-check my farsighted old eyes... Assuming the universal-end
is good, I guess a new drive shaft and a pinion cup will fix me up... I hope pinion cups are easy to change
out...

Put on a bag drop kit while I was in there.

Tightened the last few bolts this morning and rode to work to test her out... Blue Gray ride starts
tomorrow!

Rode smooth as silk on the test-ride to work today - love that Avon and Mark Parnes balancer...

I rode Monday and yesterday.  But, even though it was nice this morning I took the Jeep.  I usually don't worry about the threat of rain...but when they mention the threat of large hail starting around 4pm (I get off at 5pm), I thought twice about it.  With my luck, it will probably be sunny all evening. Pinion cups are real easy to change out with an Impact, zip off zippp on. The u-joint is probably fine.

That one is gone and would not last another 2,000 miles probably. I feel the driveshaft pinion cup is the number 1 consumable part on a Valk. They wear out.

tickedoff I went on BMDR with a bald tire, and now I'm headed to Gettysburg with a drive-shaft/pinion-cup whose
days are numbered.

My plan is to show up at the fall color ride with a blown engine  crazy2

It's s lovely day in KAKEland. I had a pleasant ride into work on my new ST1300. A two seater Benz thought was has really making me look bad away from a county stop light. We ran up to 100 in a half mile but I never broke 5,000 rpm shifting and he was floored. HAHA joke was on him but he never knew (or did he??).

I hope everyone who rides to work arrives with the same smile I did today.

Rode MGM to work, and got my arse wet on the way home.  So, I figured I'd dry out when I got home.  NO biggie....... angel

Tomorrow I'll probably take the Trike as I have to take a big bowl of Tator salad for our Friday noon cookout at the dealership.   Tried carrying it one other time on MGM and it did not make it to the 2nd corner from home.

AND, I thought I had it pretty well bungee corded down. coolsmiley tickedoff 2funny
