How to reverse a modified stock exhaust system?

When I bought my 02 CD the exhaust was already modified by the PO. I'm moving into a townhouse complex with an HOA and anticipate the usual Cali niddering curmudgeons giving me grief over the loudness of my Valk.

As far as I can see the piggies are cut and the rear baffle plate is drilled with two 1/2" (approx) holes, I'm assuming the other plates are drilled as well.

Can I weld a patch over the holes and replace/weld new pigs? What type of pipe can be used?

Also I would like to know what the best recommended exhaust gaskets are, I have a ticking noise which I understand to be the gaskets leaking, I've tightened the bolts previously.

Anybody experienced in this de-modification? Trying to save a few bucks by not buying stock un-modified replacements.

The ticking might be your PAIR valves working normally. Don't worry about that tick.

I did the whole muffler, you most likely only need to do the last 18".

The piggie plates from Mark T have the plate factory welded to the pigs, theoretically the plate should cover the drilled holes. I was thinking of using high temp fireplace caulking to seal it on along with some sheet metal screws securing it to the existing plate.. bang.. zoom.. done!

Still thinking it over but that's the plan currently rolling around in my head..

There are others but the one above is easiest, and if it fails for some reason I still have intact pig plates to work with..

"I was thinking of using high temp fireplace caulking to seal it" Let us know how it works out with the vibration, The one I did with muffler hole patch (which I assumed would hold as it was made for a similar purpose) has been in since 2004. Also someone else used a similar process with the sheet metal screws and muffler patch goop to attach the tips. Which one day I might add to further quiet . But it is unobjectionable as is and the wife and I can carry on a conversation at lower speeds.

I will thanks, one question..
in the pics you show the tips ground down flat to the plate, others have mentioned grinding past the external weld could cause the pipes inside to become loose and rattle. Have you noticed anything like this on yours?
