So much for Original 6 Black Hawks out - swept  Boston, one game from elimination.  Mostly good close games. Bogus inconsistent officiating  Leafs looking like they MIGHT move up, even 2-2 with the Presidents Cup Capitals. I dislike the Canadians just a little bit more than the Rangers, so go Rangers. Redwings been golfing for two weeks. The owners had the chance last meeting to change the "Off Side" video coaches recall. I wish they had. It sucks to have a goal called back from a missed offsides that happened 10-15 seconds before. Just like in baseball, strike or ball, it should not be what happened, but what the official saw/called. I can see if the scorer was offsides and goes went right in and scored, but for the puck to change possession between teammates or change to the defense and then back and scores, it should be a good goal. Once the puck changes possession, off sides is mute. Everyone knows it and the defense is on warning. |

Die Hard Oiler Fan all the way back to the "WHA" days when Gretzky was just 17 back in '78. I watch every game(watched the Flames vs the Ducks as well) A Flames/Oilers match would have been interesting...maybe next year. |

Absolutely. Pekka Rinne can take them if he plays solid. I'm rooting for Cody McLeod, who spent 10 years with the Avalanche as the consummate lunch pail player/teammate; hope he hoists a Cup. Also, would like to see P.K. Subban rub the nose of the Canadiens' brass for dealing him away at the top of his career; I believe that he was a better fit for Montreal than Shea Weber for the team and the community. Right now, 2nd period, 3-1 Preds vs. Blues |

I don't think I've missed watching or listening to maybe 10 Oilers games in the last horrible 10 years, so it's nice to finally see them in the playoffs. But there's been so much disappointment over the last decade, I'm definitely not overconfident...just enjoying the ride as long as it lasts. |

I don't think I've missed watching or listening to maybe 10 Oilers games in the last horrible 10 years, so it's nice to finally see them in the playoffs. But there's been so much disappointment over the last decade, I'm definitely not overconfident...just enjoying the ride as long as it lasts. McDavid is a genuine talent and Talbot has been good. Young D though may be a liability for a long series, though. Still, young legs are a blessing in third periods. I like their chances if they can keep the games close going into third periods and possibly overtimes. Gotta stay out of the box as Anaheim's power play is basically a moving scrum through the slot. |

Leon Draisaitl, a 215 lb tough fast forward is open with McDavid being shadowed..."4 points-game 1" They can't cover them both...not effectively. The Hockey Gods were with Edmonton when Ryan Getzlaf broke his stick on that 2 man advantage for the Oilers |

So what is Randy Carlyle's game plan for Sunday....the Ducks did their best to solve Cam Talbot and are down 2 games.

Definitely lucky to come out of Anaheim with 2 wins. They didn't play well last night but still managed to pull out a win thanks to Talbot. I expect them to play much better in Edmonton.
